· Biography :: As a child Azrael was always a little behind everyone. Things were never explained to him fully. It wasn't until he was about 9 when he could actually remember things, is when he underwent experiments. Willingly too. They weren't as harsh as most people might believe them to be. He wasn't chemically tested on. He was just doing procedures. His family discovered that he wasn't built like them. His blood, and his structure was a bit more accustomed. It dawned on them that Azrael never fit in around the family. It wasn't that they never loved him, they did, they just wanted him to stop being so bored as he was. He only ever found reading interesting. It was then in the middle of his childhood he was sent to live with his uncle. A man more closer to his families origins.
Uncle Draegon was weird to Azrael. However the man was a bit more accustomed to Azrael's tastes. He lived in an old cathedral. Not many records detail the history about it. It may have been an abandoned college from olden times, no one knows. All Draegon could figure out was that at some point the people who participated in the college, suddenly left. So he adopted it as his own. When Azrael appeared he had a hard time accustoming himself to Draegon's harsh training. At first it was physical endurance. Azrael went through a lot of pain to get to the next step. Mental endurance. Draegon was a master at manipulating Azrael to think the way his relatives might. It all lead to a greater purpose, Blood Magic. Blake found himself soon practicing arts he never thought possible. After all the pain he endured, and the things he did, blood never bugged him. He was never grossed out by it. He found it welcoming.
