Kono's city lies upon the Eastern disk within the Soul King's Palace. She has a rather mountainous region upon it, that has her city concentrated within its vallies and major plain that takes over most of the western side of the disk. A few houses litter the sides of the 3 mountains that are prominent, but most shy away from having such unstable ground.
The Phoenix Temple is the main, prominent building within the city run by Kono. She resides here with the rest of her city further down below the area. The building itself is a rather large temple with three-levels that are golden in color aside from the bottom level. Its entrance faces west while the opposite side faces east. On the eastern side, a large pond covers most of the area with the exception of two islands, of different size, that lay within it.
It is located on the highest of the three mountains, of which are arranged in a triforce-esque pattern, with the top of the large triangle pointing West. She is on the eastern side of the said mountain, so that the sun may rise and reflect upon the ponds and golden panels of the temple.
The main purpose of this building is to wash and burn away all of the crimes of a person so that they may start anew, building off the basis of her creation: the Sōkyoku. What this allows for is a fresh start within every sense of the word: rebuffed Reiryoku, relinquished sins/crimes, and a clearer head for ones problems. If, however, one of a great many crimes were to bathe in its waters, they would burn into flames until every last particle of Reiryoku was destroyed.
Kono likes to bask on the two islands that lay within the pond behind the temple itself, most often accompanied Anya.
