They say a child is what you make it. So what happens when you make a child a monster?
If you were to go across the sea and up north where the winters are cold and bitter you would find the land Scandinavia, the land of Vikings. Here is where these mighty warriors live in villages, train, rise their children and more. A force to be reckoned with no one takes on these warriors and live to tell the tale. In the heart of this land is the main village known as Folkmar. This village serves the heart of this village community with miles of farm land, a large market, many craftsmen building ships, and more. On a hill over looking the village sits the most important part of this village, the king's palace. Here lives their leader along with his army and servants. Recently the young king was killed out at sea and his son took over his throne. Aeric Egil the adopted son of the king took the throne shortly after his death. He's a not a Viking by blood. At one time he didn't even know who they were but that all changed when he was just ten years. At one time Aeric lived in small village far from the home of the Vikings, the only child to his mother and father. While his mother kept house like all the women in the village, his father was the local blacksmith whom was teaching his young son the works of his trade. One bitter cold winter morning, Aeric went with his father to help shoes horses in the stables. The day was going normal but then the air was filled with screams - Vikings were invading the village. His father hide his son, ordering him to stay while he went to help but the boy ran after his father. As he made his way through the chaos towards home his little eyes saw a nightmare coming true. The village was being set on fire, men were being slaughtered like sheep, women were being dragged away, homes were being looted, children were screaming in fear as they were stripped from their parent's arms and blood was staining the ground. Aeric was terrified and kept running until he reached home however once he stepped inside his eyes only show more horror. His father's body lay on the floor in a pool of blood with a knife in his bed. His mother lay not to far from him, her throat cut from ear to ear. Aeric ran to her side, crying and begging for his mother to be ok. The woman with her last dying strength kissed her son and said 'I love you.' Aeric went into shock. All he ever known and loved was gone, taken from him. As he rose up and walked toward the door, two men came from the upstairs bedroom. Their swords were still dripping with his parent's blood. Moving in almost a trance like state, Aeric picked up the hand axe his father kept by the door and fought back. Surprisingly the boy found each of his marks with deadly force, killing his parent's murderers.
Leaving the house with their blood now on him, two more Viking attacked Aeric and once again the boy killed them both. His eyes never once blinked, his face never once changed from its blank expression. Aeric felt nothing.

It took five men to bring down Aeric. They dragged him to the king but instead of enslaving him or killing, the man adopted Aeric as his son. Aeric was taken back to their village and from that point on was raised as a son of Scandinavia. The king taught him the ways of being a Viking and it seemed Aeric soon forgot about his old life. Aeric was an excellent warrior, beating even grown men twice his size. His fierceness in battle and blood thirsty nature earned him the nickname the White Demon. Not only was Aeric a warrior without mercy, he also had an explosive temper. He was quick to solve any problem with the blade his sword or beat someone into submission that actually listen. His adoptive father was the only who could calm the boy down when his temper took over and was the only who didn't live in fear of his own son. However three years after adopting Aeric as his son, the man went out to sea and didn't return. Word soon reached the palace that the king was dead. Aeric being the only heir took over the throne the day after his funeral.
At first the people rejected him as their king. He was not a true son Scandinavia nor the real son of their king. The people threaten to rebel against Aeric but it was quickly put to a stop. When they sent leaders of the rebellion to the palace demanding that Aeric step down from the throne, Aeric slaughter them all right there in the throne room and put their heads on display in the village. After that there was no more talk of rebellion and Aeric was officially made king. The people learned to respect as well as feat Aeric.
Aeric is now sixteen and still ruling his father's kingdom. His army stands behind him, the people as well and he brings them riches with each conquest. However his temper is getting more and more out of control with each passing day. Everyday the bodies of his servants and slaves are taken out to be to be buried and more of having to replace them. Is Aeric going to always be a hotheaded monster? Is his temper going to keep getting out of control? Can anyone soothe this boy and break his stone heart? Or will his people rise up against him again - this time to get rid of the White Demon for good?
