- Izumi is a somewhat forgetful person and is known to get himself into trouble with his memory. Kind and certainly not timid, he believes nothing should be enjoyed more than down time with one's thoughts or one's friends. Despite his warm persona, Izumi doesn't share much with his own life and is more at home placing himself on the sidelines of the action, preferring to watch rather than fight. This is in part because it gives him help on how to deal with a problem later, and also because he prefers to live passively. However, his forgetful mind likes to take part in making things hard from him, often jumbling together several details at once. Consequently, this makes Izumi prone to sudden outbursts of clarity in which he may remember a miniscule detail or the like that could have been important at a totally different time. Even so, Izumi is startlingly intelligent, something one might not immediately guess upon meeting him.

- Rather than creating a weapon, Izumi's zanpakuto is absorbed directly into his body, emitting a faint forest green glow around him.
Description:
- As one would expect, this zanpakuto performs mostly at a range and plays more of a supporting role with Izumi. However, it is largely focused around countering opposing forces rather than letting a single person set the speed of combat.
Abilities:
- Gyakuten: Izumi takes half the damage an intended move is designated to deal to him and then flings it back at the user at one and a half times it's normal power and speed. This returns the move stronger and faster than before which can cause a bit of shock to Izumi's opponents, given that it makes it appear as though he can mimic their own techniques.
Chiru: An unusual technique with lots of versatility, this technique allows Izumi to "play" with the composition of materials. This allows him to scatter incoming attacks, destroy defenses and alter terrain appropriately. He can dissipate concrete or kido to pure reishi and then send it back to the user, turn rocks into sand and water into fire. However, with a limited range of three consumable meters, it is best used on the terrain or defenses of an opponent, especially since offensive techniques deal normal damage to him upon contact. Additionally, through extensive testing, Izumi has discovered this move does not seem to affect zanpakuto or people or things immediately touching them such as clothing in any way shape or form, which is odd given that this technique has little problems dealing with anything else.
Damasu: Izumi creates a small sphere of reiryoku at the tip of his finger no large than a marble and fires it at the foe at a high speed. As it nears the intended target, Izumi makes a motion with his hand and the sphere straightens out into a long blade that slashes through the air, attempting to cut the foe. This technique requires extremely good timing, as once it swings once, the blade dissipates immediately, making it a hit or miss move.
Kaeru: A useful move that Izumi uses when things turn to close combat. Turning a bit of the surrounding area or even an incoming attack (in which Izumi receives three quarters of the total damage) he changes the object into a weapon. Unlike Chiru, which alters the properties of the composition of an object, Kaeru effectively forms a weapon of any kind for Izumi to use while still keeping his zanpakuto skills. The options are limitless, though he has a natural affection for javelins and spears.
Midasu: Izumi's only other close ranged technique, this creates a short, powerful pulsation from in front of him outwards, stopping only after two meters and throwing objects such as people and physical attacks away from him. However, Kido moves can continue on their course, but are greatly weakened as this attack assaults the reishi directly, both slowing down and greatly lowering the power of incoming reishi based techniques.
