It's easy to go out in public and see a person with tanned skin, greasy hair, ragged clothes, and a backpack on their back and think, "That person is homeless." We may be right some of the time thinking that, but there are other times we can be wrong so it's best not to judge a person before we know them. Perhaps we'll think, "That woman is dressed nice like all the time! She's probably such a rich snob!" There are so many stereotypes in this world that it's insane. Although when we judge a person and don't bother to know them, we could be totally wrong about them. Perhaps that woman dresses nice often because she enjoys it and makes a little under a middle-class income.
I remember thinking at one point in my life when I noticed how judgmental human beings can be that there can be an excuse for every accusation. For example I would think: "If I went to church with greasy hair and maybe not smelling the best - what would other people think?" and I thought, "Well, people might think that I have no respect for others or that I don't have respect for the church, but what if our water went out for some reason and there was no time to shower elsewhere?"
Here are a couple verses I enjoy about judging others:
Matthew 7:1 - 5 NIV:
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Luke 5:37 - 40 NIV:
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.
Also, if we saw things from God's perspective (knew what everyone was thinking or what was right or wrong in their lives all the time) would we judge others? Instead of judging others when we don't know them and don't understand their situation, thus out of ignorance, can't we find a way to at times give someone the benefit of the doubt?

Here is a video I found that touched me about judging others and it's a good watch. Even brought on a few tears:
