You run into the warp gate, eager to get away from the terrifying Aboleths, but perhaps not so eager to leave Vier behind.
You've never really been fond of gate travel, it's all far too magical and you've never really trusted any of that stuff. The image of Vier and the three Aboleths slowly fades away...
...is the warp gate broken? Everything's dark and you're pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. Maybe you're dead? That's a possibility, but you've never been dead before so you're not quite sure about that. You'd expect death to be a bit more interesting, not just a whole lot of dark.
After a few minutes (minutes? hours? days? you're not hungry yet so it can't be that long). After some time you feel the uncomfortable feeling of being constrained, or being crammed into a box that's far too small to fit all of you. Shortly after this box-overflowing-with-Tanu, you suddenly feel like you're falling, and falling VERY fast!
You fall right through a Sea of Stars, and see what looks like an entire creation in it. Below you see a great black slab of stone, and you're about to fall right into it! You can't maneuver yourself to land on your feet, so you do your best to brace for the impact...of all the falls you've experienced, this one isn't especially painful or embarrassing. In fact, you'd say gravity is doing a pathetic job of making you fall this time.
You suddenly find yourself sitting on a table in the middle of some kind of meeting room, and the people sitting around the table almost seems as surprised as you.

"Um.... wha?" Tanu looks around the room, hoping to find a familiar, or at least friendly face. Tanu thinks to himself... I'd say this is a dream but I don't remember going to sleep.

Perhaps the first thing you notice is how TINY this room is.
...is Tanu clausterphobic? He is now...
The room gives you the unerving feeling of being buried alive, only made worse by that box-too-small-for-Tanu feeling you still have. Although there there are lanterns in the room, the place is barely illuminated. Scents are dulled, and noises feem muffled. Not as if this place where hidden or secret, but as if there just isn't much to smell or hear. Above all you can sense that you are deep, deep undergound, with miles and miles of stone pressing down and hemming you in. Your hair stands on end, and you want to get out of this place, though you're not quite sure how.
Looking around, you see you've landed on some kind of round black stone table. (Come to think of it, the entre room is made out of black stone). It's proportioned as some kind of meeting or dining table, but you would guess it would hardly come up to your knees.
You notice the stench of the Aboleth's slime is no longer on you.
Around the table are several stone chairs, and a few people sitting in them...though it seems most of the people here are just as spooked as you about your sudden arrival. Panicking and screaming across the room are 7 or so impish creatures, black, red, and blue devils with pointed fingers and leathery wings. In stark contast to these are 5 more human individuals, sitting calm and serene, save for 2 who seem to be ushering the panicking imps out the door ahead of you.
These five people seem...out of place here, as if the heavy stone weighs down on them as well, and they have been placed in circumstances far too small to contain them.
Three of these persons sit at the table, two of which are dressed in fine black robes, and don't look entirely human. The other is a lady, perhaps a bit older than Alexia, wearing a sharp yellow suit. Herding the imps are a stout man also in fine black robes, and what looks like a hobbit, dressed in simple white clothes.
As the imps are removed from the room, the attentions of the five remaining people turn towards you, and you start to feel a sharp stinging feeling in your fingers...

Tanu, like any cat, likes tight spaces, though more so if they are his own choosing. So right meow he would rather not be here. The moment Tanu's fingers start hurting, he knows he is in trouble. Lady Alexia is no where around, and apparently his curse finds that a reason to punish him. Tanu has no idea how far it will go and he has no way of getting back to Lady Alexia. Maybe these people can help him? They don't look threatening yet by any means, but he better mind him self... not something he is particularly good at. He does his best to hide the growing pain in his hands. The last thing he wants to do in this situation is strain his hand muscles out of pain so that his claws come out. That wouldn't go over well. Tanu quickly wonders what to say. Well, I'm not doing anything wrong as far as I know, other than being away from Lady Alexia. Maybe it's best to just straight up tell them whats going on and see if they can help.
"Hi, um... sorry, I didn't mean to drop in, and its important that I quickly get back to where I'm supposed to be. Any chance any one of you could help me get back to a friend of mine? I'm Tanu by the way." Tanu attempts to look as pleasant as possible despite the pain in his hands.
