Clarissa carefully picked her way through the thick forest. Her eyes flickered as her prey, a large female deer, moved cautiously. Quickly, Clarissa attacked the deer sinking her fangs into its neck. Her brown hair moved with the wind. She closed her eyes as the thick blood filled her mouth. She dropped the deer and licked her lips. It's been a while since she had fed herself. A vampire doesn't need to feed often, but one cannot survive without a decent meal every now and then.

Clarissa petted the dead deer. "Thank you for feeding me," She said as she stood up and started walking home. Her home was a worn down, old Victorian manor. Inside, however, was modern with new furniture and clean surfaces. The manor had six floors with many sleeping quarters, a few kitchens and living rooms, some offices, and a couple emergency care rooms.

Clarissa walked through the huge doors. "SHAYNE!" She called for her older brother.

"Yesss?" His voice hissed, bouncing off the walls of the large manor.
Shayne slid through shadows, silent leap by silent leap. A slim grin crept onto his face, revealing pearly white teeth, and two slim, pointed fangs. He was hungry, and he smelled blood.
He used one hand to wipe his dark hair away from his silver eyes, which were darting around looking for his sister, who though was in the same room, would not be able to see him, as he so very well blended into shadows if he stayed still. If his eyes and mouth were closed, he would be near invisible.
"What?" He hissed again.

"There's a broken window on floor three," Clarissa walked past him up the stairs. "Also, if you want, there is a dead dear near the lake." She went to her room on floor two. She swiftly slid inside and closed the door. She sighed and walked into her bathroom. She took out her toothbrush and brushed the remaining blood off her fangs. She fixed her hair, not that she could see herself in the mirror.

"You know that isn't the prey I enjoy." Shayne spat, sliding out from the shadows , and into the beams of moonlight let into the room by giant windows, with dark, blood red curtains pulled aside. He slipped outside, feeling soil under his shined, black dress shoes. Shayne jogged forward, becoming faster and faster until he was running at full speed. Quickly he jumped into the air, transforming into his bat form. He flew fast and silently, into the moonlight, letting his natural instincts take over. Shayne landed in the dark alley of a small village outside of the manor. Taking his time to turn back into his cunning human form. He strutted out of the alley, hands in pocket with his fangs retracted. A normal, classy citizen, blending into midnight.

Kai's pencil flew across the paper. She stared intently at the drawing. "Urgh," she crumbled up the paper and threw it in the trash. She began a new drawing. "Gagh!" She threw the ball of paper at the can again. "I will get this right!" Her pencil broke under the pressure and speed of her drawing skills. "I GIVE UP!" She threw the pencil and pad of paper at the wall. She huffed and sat in the corner alone.

Shayne hummed a hypnotizing tune to himself, kicking small pebbles across the cobblestone centre of the village.
The streets were nearly abandoned, not including an old couple shuffling along to their house.
He spat on the stone, shaking his head. Old persons were no good to eat. The medicine made their blood taste spoiled or metallic.
Shayne's ears perked up to the sound of a --teenage?-- girl giggling on the phone, walking down the pavement by her lonesome. He swiftly set out stalking her, eyes focused, and shoulders stiff and tense. He caught a whiff of vanilla on the wind, nostrils flared as he inhaled the scent deeply.
Shayne made sure to keep to the shadows, so the girl should not be aware of her predator.

Kai's breathing slowed and she relaxed. "It was just a drawing... No reason to freak out..." She stood up and put away the art supplies. She went downstairs to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and started to read out the bottles. "A positive.... B positive... Aha! AB!" Kai pulled out the slim vial. She nudged the fridge door to close it. She opened the vial and drank the blood. "Mm..." She threw out the empty bottle and cleaned her hands. Any trace of blood in this house could start a fight.

Shayne felt he crept close enough, then leaped out of the shadows and walked briskly behind the girl, who suddenly stopped to put her phone away.
In a split second he was on top of her, her adrenaline racing and her shrill voice shrieking with a bloodcurdling essence. Shayne lived for that. Literally.
Faster then her eyes could see, he twisted her neck in two opposite directions with his hands, causing her neck to shatter. She died nearly instantly; no pain. Dark, blood began to flow from her mouth, glistening in the moonlight. Shayne swept down, placing his lips from hers, swallowing gush after gush of her sweet, wine tasting blood. He panted as he got his fill, wiping his hands on her light brown hair. Before anyone could notice his kill, he stood up, picked her up in his arms like an infant, and ran at an unbelievable speed back to the manor.

Kai passed by Clarissa as she went back up to her room. She slid into her bed and pulled the blanket over her head. She sighed and closed her eyes.

Clarissa walked swiftly downstairs. "Shayne?" She watched him walk in through the doors. "Now what did I say about feeding on people? It's wrong!"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 18, 2013 6:12 pm

"Haha." Shayne laughed in a sarcastic manner, "Human blood is FAR more tasteful and enriching than your petty deer feed."
Walking into the kitchen, he plopped the lifeless body on the counter, getting ready to prepare it for their mini morgue, for extraneous, emergency blood sources. 4 out of the 6 drawers were filled, and it was Shayne's job to keep them filled, though no one seemed to enjoy it as much as he did, and seldom drank it.
It the drawer to his right were miscellaneous items. Shayne removed a sponge, a needle and thread, a vial, a small syringe, and a notecard with a permanent marker.

Clarissa walked in behind Shayne. "I still think it's wrong. I mean, you're murdering humans! You were one at one point! Remember?" She took the notecard and marker from him. "Blood type?" She asked getting ready to write down what he says.

"Yea, well, someone murdered me, so there." Shayne snapped.
He took the syringe and stick it through the side of the young girls neck. He pulled the pump back, filling the container with blood. Once it was filled to the appropriate amount, Shayne removed the needle, and pumped the blood into the vial. He held the small vial up to the moonlight after allowing the syringe to empty, then brought it to his lips, ready to figure the blood type, as he had been in a feeding frenzy and wouldn't have been able to tell when he first fed. Feeling the still warm blood trickle onto his tongue spurred a pleasing feeling throughout his body. He slowly licked the blood that rimmed his lips, and remembering tasting that familiar sweet wine flavor, decided the Blood Type.
"Double O-." Shayne grinned slyly, "My favorite."

Clarissa wrote down the blood type on the notecard. She read aloud as she wrote the rest of the requirements. "Female... about.. hmm... 17, I'd say..." She looked up at her brother. "Wouldn't you agree?" She brushed her bangs out of her eyes.
