XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ■ If anything, I'd say that my fatal flaw is that I get too focused on making things fair, wanting to hear both sides of the story before I make any influential decisions. This isn't good when time is of the issue, and I suppose someone could take advantage of this fact by feeding me very convincing lies...

XXXXXXXXXXX❖ Who I am ◂◂
As a person, I'm generally very friendly and personable. I like people, and that's very easy to see. I don't mind helping settle disputes or solve problems that have arisen, and I think that I'm pretty approachable. Although I do like making new friends, and have a good relationship with others, I prefer to keep as small a circle of really close friends as possible, and in general I don't share private information with very many people. I'm good at keeping secrets, and I've been described by friends as 'motherly' to the point that I'm almost a bit over-protective of those I'm really close to.
I'm usually pretty happy, but there are subjects that can set me off very easily, and when I'm angry or really sad, I'm not the best person to be around. I hate seeing bulling, and I will usually step in and try to reconcile things if I see it going on. Handling bullying that is directed my way however is a completely different matter. I know the age-old adage: "They're only looking for a reaction" and I can go for a while without giving one. Hit the right subjects or keep at it long enough however and I will snap. I'm not easy to work with when I've been set off and in those cases I become very solitary and testy. I don't like being yelled at, and that can set me off as well. In fact when I've been set off is probably the only time you'll hear me yell (and actually mean it).

XXXXXXXXXXX❖ A Hero's Tale ◂◂
I was born to a soldier and a mystery woman. My father always told me that she had been the love of his life, but I don't know if he ever knew that my mother was a goddess or the ancient Romans. One person knew however, a family friend - the wife of another soldier in my father's squad. Mrs. Grace Colby raised me alongside her sons almost as much as (if not more than) my father did. Don't get me wrong, my father loved me dearly, but he was an army man through and through, and he was often off doing other things. I lived just off of whatever base we were stationed at (we moved quite a few times) in a house we shared with the Colbys but he was often quite busy. As a child, I was a very quiet and bookish person because my mother had disappeared on us, and it felt like my father was never around.
As I got older, my father started getting sent out on oversea duties. When he was out of the country, I stayed with Mrs. Colby as usual. She would tell me wondrous stories about a camp full of people with amazing abilities, a great walled city in ancient roman style, and a giant wolf named Lupa. Along with her young sons, whom I was very much an older sister to, she would fill our minds with stories of gods and heroes and tell us the history of ancient Rome.
I loved those stories, and endeavored to be like my favorite heroes: Strong and independent and just. It was hard, but the thing that made me the strongest, also broke me into pieces. It came when I was 10. My father had been killed in service. I was broken. I had often been teased because neither of my parents had been around, and now I had lost the only one who had ever had a tangible presence. Mrs. Colby formally adopted me, although she insisted that I keep my last name. As I realized that my father had indeed sacrificed himself while standing up for something he believed in greatly, I became stronger as a person. My father's absence in my life was no longer something that brought me down, but it was instead something I could be proud of, be proud of the blood that flowed through my veins.
I had always known I was odd - I saw strange creatures, that fitted with Mrs. Colby's stories when no one else could - but was barely 13 when the wolves came, arriving in the dead of the night. To my surprise, Mrs. Colby greeted them as though they were old friends. She told me that her stories of the legion had been true, and that as a demi-god, it was now my turn to go with them and train at camp. She handed me a backpack containing what I would need as well as a letter of introduction for her old cohort - fourth - and sent me on my way to meet Lupa. After arriving at camp, I was brought into the fourth cohort, and from there quickly made my way to centurion, a little to my surprise.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ■ Since coming to the Legion, I haven't talked to any of my outside friends. There's only one that I still talk to (and visit almost every day), Altair. There's no way I could leave him behind! Half because he followed me, mostly because he's my baby <3 Oh! Did I forget to mention? Altair is a Gryphon!
