Cally's parents abused her, but her brother took care of her, and when he turned 18 (Cally was 7) he became her legal guardian. Cally's brother, Daniel owed a lot of money to a gang, and was killed when she was 14. Cally became sarcastic, and her heart became cold. She was kidnapped by her brother's murderers and whenever she used her elementalist powers she was shocked with a collar (where her scar came from)
She was sold into slavery and was raped and abused by her past owners. Worse than that was when people asked her about her past. She learned that by using her body, she could avoid difficult conversations and the abuse didn't hurt as bad. She'll only use her powers in private or extreme need. Pacifist, because she promised Daniel, so she would never purposefully hurt anyone unless her life was in danger.
