Ziya was sitting in front of a small stream, cleaning her face and taking a long drink. She looked up as she heard a strange rustling sound coming from behind her. Turning around, she wondered what it could be. She took a few tentative steps towards a big tree, and peered around the corner. What she saw surprised her.

Gavyn was running in the forest trying to unwind. He loved the forest and all the earth around him. He caught a scent and followed it. He grinned and pounced on what he saw peaking out at him from behind a tree. "Hey there."

Jumping back from the tree, she swatted at the strange zurui. "Hey, You scared me! I thought you were a big monster or something!" Thinking about what she just said, she chuckled. "Although now that seems a little silly." Pausing for a minute she examined the zurui. "You look like you're out of breath. were you running from something?" she asked, "oh, and by the way, my name is Ziya."

He grinned as the girl jumped back behind a tree. And he dodged the swat. "Sorry for scaring you. But no I am no big monster." He grinned when he chuckled. "Why would I be a big bad monster?" He looked her over and smiled. "I was running for the sake of running. I was trying to relax. What should I have been running from?" He smiled and bowed his head. "I'm Gavyn. It's a pleasure to meet you Ziya"

"It's alright," Ziya said. "I'm glad you're not a monster. I don't know what I would have done if you were." She looked up a Gavyn and smiled, splashing him with some water. "Would you like to go for a swim with me, to cool down after your run?" she asked, hoping the answer would be yes.

Gavyn smiled as she said it was alright. "I'm sure you would have thought of something to do against a big scary monster. Though if you want I could be one." Gavyn laughed and sputter when he was splashed with water. He splashed her back and smiled cutely. "Sounds good to me. It should get cool me down after a long hard run.'' He walked into the water and smiled at Ziya. "Come on in the water is great."

Ziya smiled and dipped a paw into the water. "Oh, it's cold," she said, shivering. Slowly, she wadded into the river until she got to Gavyn. "Well, I guess the water is pretty nice now," she said sheepishly, looking up at him. She couldn't help but notice his gorgeous full white eyes as he looked down at her.

Gavyn watched Ziya as she dipped a paw in. He liked the lightning patterns on her fur. It was really pretty. He laughed when she said it was cold. "Oh it's not that cold." He saw her shiver and tilted his head. He smiled as she walked over to him. "See I told you the water was nice." He smiles at her.

Ziya laughed. "Yeah, yeah, you were right. The water is very nice. Come on, lets go out further," she said, wading into the deeper waters until she was able to swim. Turning back, she yelled to Gavyn, "Come on, it's even nicer over here!"

Gavyn grinned at what Ziya said. He nodded. "Sounds good to me." He saw her wade in deeper into the water. He moved deeper into the water to where he was swimming too. He laughed as she told him it was even nicer over there. "I'm coming Ziya." He swam over to her and splashed her with his tail. He grinned and dove under the water for a few seconds then came back up. He felt very good after getting covered by the cool water.

Ziya shook her head after being splashed and watched Gavyn dive down under the water. Following suit, she dove down, and saw something shiny on the river's ground. Curious, she swam over and picked it up in her mouth, resurfacing just as she ran out of breath. She looked around and spotted Gavyn not too far from her. "Hey, look what I found!" She called to him.

Gavyn saw Ziya dive. He got worried when she didn't surface again. He was going to dive down again to get her when she finally resurfaced. He swam over to her when she called him over. "Don't make me so nervous. What did you find?" He looked at the shiny thing in Ziya's mouth.

She looked up sheepishly at him. "Sorry for making you nervous," she said. "But look!" Holding up her paw, she showed Gavyn the little round ball. "I found a pearl!" Ziya was so excited to find something so beautiful, she rushed up onto the shore in order to put it somewhere safe, to make sure it wouldn't get lost.

Gavyn saw her sheepish expresion and smiled at Ziya. "It's ok." He looked at the pearl. It was very pretty. He smiled at it and her. "Very nice. Don't lose that." He swam to shore and hops up onto the bank. He shook himself and then walked over to where Ziya was. He watched as she put it somewhere it would be safe. "Would you like to go home and put that somewhere it will be safe?"

Ziya looked at Gavyn. "Yes, that's a good idea!" She said, picking the pearl back up. She motioned towards the entrance of the woods. "Come on, you'll get to see where I live!" Ziya hoped she had made her den look halfway decent before she left, she didn't want to make a bad impression on her gorgeous new friend.
