 Sarah had been having a decent life after avoiding Vulcan. He used to hunt her down, but not anymore. It seemed like a nice day and no cloud in the sky. Things were looking good for her for once in her life. Now if only she could get some friends. Perhaps then she could fully fit in and feel comfortable.

 Blinking her eyes open in the bright sunlight, Rayne looked around at her sleeping pack-mates and sighed. Where was Vincent? The whole reason she had found him was NOT to be alone, and here she was again...Fa and Ashy, sound asleep. Angel cuddling with her pups and mate. And where did that leave her? Heck, Shadow was probably off thinking somewhere. How could he be so peaceful? Giving a short chuff, she rose to her paws and began to wander around solemnly. The bracelet around her paw drew a smile to her lips, but as it clinked while she walked, it didn't bring her much joy.. She had....she had her brother back, so why...why did she feel so, alone?

Sarah got up and decided to go for a walk. She always loved walking through the woods. It helped her relax whenever she felt troubled or sad. Eventually after a while she spotted a black wolf with wings. Sarah cocked her head to the side before heading over to see if she was ok. "Are you alright?" She noticed that the wolf was a bit irritated and nervously started sputtering out words. "Unless you don't want to tell me of course. I mean I can understand how weird it must be talking to a random wolf who you don't know and all..." She trailed off for a moment before trying to get back on track. "I'm Sarah...sorry for not stating my name sooner." She shook a bit nervous at her little ramble session and hoping this wolf wasn't one to get irritated easily.

In her wandering, Rayne got so lost in her thoughts that she was absolutely unaware of the world around her - including the other wolf. She was startled out of her depressing thoughts with the other wolf's voice, jumping a little as her tail prickled instinctively. She looked blankly at her for a little bit, then smoothed her tail back down. "Yeah, I just..." she started, until the other wolf began to ramble a little. She put on a well-mannered smile and got in a word at her first opportunity. "No, it's okay - I...could use someone to talk to." A lazy smile filtered onto her face, though it did seem fragile. "My name is Rayne." she replied, "And it's quite alright." she smiled once more to set this other wolf at ease, giving a light swish of her tail, though her smile was troubled, her eyes full of pain and loneliness.

Sarah was more relaxed since she realized she wasn't being a burden to the other wolf. "Alright..." She smiled back at Rayne. "That's a pretty name." Sarah watched Rayne for a while before noticing that she still looked miserable. "I'd be happy to listen to anything if you want to get something off your chest. I may or may not understand, but I always say it's good to listen to others. Sometimes it helps them feel better."

"Thank you..." Rayne replied, a little absently, "My...mother" she seemed to wince a little at the name. Boy, did Rayne miss her mom. "always liked nature, so..." she listened to the other wolf extend her ear, "Indeed, it is...." preparing and bracing herself, she sighed heavily, "My problem was just always talking to people." she cast her eyes to the ground, "And, now that I have someone to talk to, I...I feel more alone than ever." she realized she was being elusive, and chuffed at herself slightly. "My long-lost brother has returned but...It's like he's too busy figuring his own thoughts for me...I don't want to be a burden...and my mate, he just...disappeared."

Sarah gave a polite nod. "You're welcome. Nature is rather beautiful in its own way." She then listened to Rayne throughout the whole conversation. Sarah almost wanted to say something, but she wasn't sure exactly what to say. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to trouble you if I am being too prying and expecting you to talk." She wasn't exactly sure how to comfort her considering she didn't think too much of herself. "I highly doubt you're a burden. Others who care for you if they truly care about you would never ever consider ones they love or like to be a burden." She paused for a moment. "There are times where some can be a burden, but you don't seem to be that type." She looked down at the ground. "To tell you the truth...I don't understand when it comes to mates. I've been alone all my life, but never felt love from another male or female before."

Rayne nodded at Sarah's comment about nature; "It's always been something I adored...like, it's a part of me. And I'm a part of it. We're all intertwined, really..." She realized she had began to babble, but felt better for the opportunity to do so; more comfortable and, as she reminded herself of her words, less alone. Once again, Rayne gave a good-natured shake of her head, "No trouble at all; I don't want to trouble you either." she confided, listening to Sarah's comforts. She thought for a moment about what she had said about being a burden. Was Shadow a burden to her? No, of course not. Ashy? Definitely no. She nodded, and seemed to smile a little brighter, "You are right; thank you." she couldn't believe how easy she could cheer up. "I guess..." she walked forward a little, pausing in mid-step as she cast a forlorn glance to the sky. "I guess I just wanted one, so I wouldn't be alone." She let her paw fall, head following suit and hanging, "But, I was wrong. I'd like to think he loved me. But now he's just - gone." without realizing it, Rayne had slowed to a halt in her walk, sitting down and curling her tail around herself.

Sarah listened to the whole story Rayne gave her. It was nice to be around others for a chance instead of being so lonely. "It's no trouble at all. As long as others don't attack me with no reason then I am normally a fairly accepting wolf." Sarah listened more to Rayne. She still wasn't sure 100% about males, but it didn't seem to phase her in the least. "Well you are a very beautiful wolf and so far, by what I've seen you have a really nice personality." Sarah pased for a moment trying to think of what to say, but she couldn't let any words come out, until finally she coughed up the best answer she could. "I would like to say there are others, but if this one meant the world to you then it can be hard to let go. I can't tell you that you are going to fall for someone else, but that is up to you. All I can say is you are a beautiful and kind wolf that deserves a good mate. However, if it is not in your interest then there is no reason why you couldn't stay single for a while or at least till you get yourself settled."
