A Short sighted mediocre Rp for myself and My Rp partner.

-------------------------------------------

Welcome to Galgea, A world unlike any you have ever seen before. This world has many creatures and people whom are friendly and rude, Beastly and peaceful, But most importantly Good and Evil.

Over time wars have broken out, Genocide has wiped out races of many kinds and now one kingdom stands above all others. The kingdom of Defron, Home to the Alliance of Elves and Humans, founders of peace across the lands.

User Image

Though the kingdom consists of mostly Elves and Humans, Many other races exist here as well. Too many to count and some too few to even notice. Though its these few who dare to change the fate of the kingdom and cause an evil wind to rise from the east.

The Storyline

The Human King Fredrick has taken ill and the kingdom may soon mourn a lost king with no heir to the throne, To add to the trouble there have been reports of prophets all calling for the end times which have caused the local populace to become restless. This is due to the lost communication with the eastern colonies just a few weeks ago, And some are beginning to say demons have begun marching on the kingdom. They are quite right, The Greater Lich Alric Balroon has begun amassing armies of undead and demons far to the East in the uncharted lands, Were his tower spirals into the dark skies of the swamps. With the king ill and the kingdom under siege, Will hero's arise to save the day? Only time will tell.

Accepted Profiles

Picture: User Image

Full Name: Frey Algren Selfora

Age: Twenty Years Old

Race: I am half Human and half Angelic

Gender: Male

Skills and Abilities: Frey knows how to wield a sword effectively but is no were near a master of the art, He is capable of holding his own against anyone around his skill level but anyone above it will prove a significant challenge. His half Angel nature allows him to use light magic's to his advantage, He may erect a personal barrier in a dome like fashion which may defend all sides of his body. This barrier requires him to focus greatly against heavier crushing physical attacks or magic strikes, However if the attack is too much for him the shield may shatter and leave him open for an attack. Frey may also use his angelic side to bolster his magic prowess in battle, Focusing light into the centre of his palm he may release a mid to short range blast of light magic. Though Frey prefers to take care of himself and not rely on others, He knows little about tracking or surviving in the wild and only has basic fire starting skills and knowledge of how to set up camp and cook basic foods such as fish and chicken.

Appearance: Frey wears the colours of his village, Black and dark red clothing with a hint of purple dye cover his body. His clothing is a mix of tanned leather and cloth giving him little protection against physical attacks but making him more agile then a knight or local guard. When standing, Frey is 5'5 and weighs 145 pounds, His hair is black and slightly shaggy but oddly shaped causing it to hang over his face on one side rather often.

History: Born within the kingdom of Defron but closer to the border of the East, Frey was born into a comfortable life. Growing up he wasn't as cold and inconsiderate as he is now, However tragedy tends to change even the happiest of people. When Frey was still too young to hold a sword but old enough to walk, He and his mother were captured by a local gang of bandits while they were out searching for berries in the forest. Luckily they were not alone and a few of their friends escaped to warn the local guard, Though it took them months to find the camp and even longer to accumulate enough force to strike at the bandits. When the camp was finally liberated Frey's mother was dead and he had been left to fend for himself for many months. Upon returning to the village he took three years to recuperate and eventually joined up with a band of sell swords, Having no family left to leave behind he began training at the age of eight, Learning the way of the sword from random people he met on his travels. After many years of travel and training he has become the misunderstood man he is today.

Personality: I am Critical and often Cold toward others, I prefer to stay away from the idea of friendship and often prefer to do things alone. Though I act as if I do not care for others I will not willingly leave someone to their death if it is undeserved.

Any other information: Frey has no knowledge of his father, Or that he is part angel. His body simply reacts to situations around him allowing him to adapt his abilities.

Character Picture: User Image
Name: Sirene Carraway
Age: Nineteen
Race: Elf
Personality: Sirene is often over-confident and constantly pushing herself to her limits. She is kind to her friends and allies, but will never hesitate to kill an enemy.
Special Skills: Sirene is proficient in the use of a bow, whether it is in the hunting of wild animals or the fighting of enemies that cross her path. She knows nothing of magic of any type, but makes up for it with physical strength and agility. Sirene is also fully capable of surviving in the wilderness, as she has most of her life, and able to make poisons to accompany her weapons.
History: She was born within Defron, but Sirene’s life has been far from easy. Though she was born into a fairly well off family, her parents were murdered in a race dispute while travelling, leaving her to fend for herself as a small child. She taught herself how to live off the land and picked up more complex poison making from others living in the forests. Sirene acquired her bow at the age of eight after seeing a hunter use one to kill a deer much faster than she had with her crude dagger or spear. When the hunter’s back was turned, she stole his bow, quiver and dagger before running back into the woods. In order to keep her weapons in good condition, she often steals material and money from people travelling through the forests.
Weapon(s): A wooden longbow and small steel dagger.
Magic: None

Let us Begin!

Frey draws his blade and parry's an incoming strike, the two swords clash and cause nearby civilians to fan out into a circular formation as if they were within an arena. The smarter civilians ran down the street calling for guards or began protecting family members, Frey dodges another strike that would have split his side open and rolls to the right. Striking upwards as he stood up he strikes the mans side and causes him to bleed on the dirt path within the merchants road. "Jeral Freklin..you are condemned to death by the unholy hands of money and greed" Frey chuckles as his foe grasps his side and heaves for a breath, His lungs punctured from the blow.

Jeral readies his blade and attempts a strike at Frey once more and fails, Frey trips Jeral onto the ground in an attempt to humiliate him. As jeral struggles to his feet Frey strikes the man in the back and splits his leather armor open, Leaving him to bleed on the ground. "See you in hell" Frey then swishes his blade through the air to remove it of blood and sheaths his weapon, Walking away from the scene. As he pushes through the crowd he eventually finds his way to a nearby tavern, He walks inside and takes a seat under a sign with the tavern name hanging from the roof of the building, The sign reads "Old Oak Tavern"

Sirene pulled her hood close to her face, hiding it from any onlookers. She stuck close to the shadows in order to further hide herself from others as well as the sun. Glancing up, the elf woman sighed, leaning against the cool stone of the building, the heat from the sun creating slight perspiration on her forehead and the back of her neck.

Looking back at her surroundings, Sirene kept her eyes open, looking around for someone that she could easily pickpocket. Normally, she would stay out of populated areas, but she was in need of refined materials for weapons and had no other means of income.

Hearing the commotion close by and seeing blood splatter across the dirt, the elf pressed her back against the wall and slid downward. She balanced on the tips of her toes, hands on the ground beside her to keep herself steady. Sirene crouched in silence, doing her best to stay silent until she was sure of the situation.

Frey raised his hand up to the bartender and ordered an ale, his black bracer masking the fresh blood that had spilled over it quite well. "Make it a tall one" His voice was stern as if he was in a rush, The bartender nods and grabs a large mug from under the bar counter and steps into the back room for a moment. The room itself was muggy and full of smoke, You could smell the musk from outside and it was more then apparent that the tavern was more for ruffians and people of Frey's type of work.

The man beside Frey was a large muscled hulk of a human, He scans Frey for a moment and laughs before chugging back his ale. "Your too weak to be in this tavern kid" Frey ignored the man and grabbed hold of his ale as it was placed on the counter. "You ignor'n me kid?" The mans voice was slightly raised as if he was getting a little aggravated. Frey drinks a little of his beer and looks up at the man, Who was twice his size, giving him a smug smirk he begins to speak. "Were I drink and when is none of your concern" He pauses and takes another drink of his ale. "Why don't you go back to your barn house and bathe with some pigs or something" By the time Frey had finished speaking the man had stood up and slammed his cup of ale on the counter, Stumbled and raised his fist. Frey did not budge and instead chose to drink another mouthful of his ale, The mans fist then flew through the air and a waft of wind was felt across the back of Frey's head as he leaned forwards to dodge the oafish strike. "are you done?" He looks over at the man and gestures to his ale, which was now sitting on the countertop. "id like to finish my drink"

The light breeze shifted slightly as it passed by Sirene, bringing the metallic smell of the blood on the road to her thin, pointed nose. She pulled her moss-coloured mask up over her mouth and nose from where it had sat around her neck. The corner of her mouth turned up slightly beneath the mask, the smell of the dark red liquid familiar to her from years of hunting and thieveries gone wrong.

After a few moments in her crouched position, the elf stood, brushing the light dirt and small bits of grey stone off of her hands. She rubbed her palms against her tanned leather pants, feeling the rough material further remove the dirt from her hands. Sirene then stepped out from the shadows and into the street, the light from the sun slowly sinking behind the western horizon blinding her slightly. She blinked quickly, adjusting her sky coloured eyes to the change in light.

She paused for a moment, studying the gory scene of crimson blood and hacked up flesh. Not recognizing the face, the elf woman lifted her strong shoulders in a shrug and left the scene to the guards, who were flocking around the mess in clunky metal armour. Sirene rolled her eyes, finding the need for such drastic measures in protection to be needed. Her cloth hood and top the colour of spring leaves and her leather pants the shade of an oak tree's trunk had always been enough to keep her safe. "Camouflage is the best defence.." She murmured into her mask before pulling it back down, feeling the light fabric settle around her neck.

Sirene turned quickly, her hood sliding down to rest on top of her bow, letting her shoulder-length blonde hair fall forward around her face. She reached backward, adjusting the hood so that it was underneath the oak bow and quiver resting against her back. She stepped into the tavern, her leather boots making a quiet tapping noise against the wood panel floors. Glancing around, she seated herself at table in the far corner in the tavern, lifting one of her legs over the other, crossing the left over the right knee. Sirene kept quiet, watching a possible brawl unfold across the room and hoping that the commotion would allow her to slip a hand into the pocket of a nearby patron.

Frey had no time to notice the new member of the taverns crew, When he had finished mocking the giant man beside him the man had already retracted his arm and was about to swing again. His face was red with anger and his fist was strengthened by ale, Not to mention his size and muscle mass outclassed Frey by more then double his body weight. This time as the man swung his fist downwards on Frey, It went much differently. Frey swiftly kicked off of the bartenders table and caused himself to fall backwards were he positioned his hands over his head and pushed upwards into a backflip, To which he landed on his feet a metre or so from his original position. "I don't have time for this" The big man turned and looked at Frey, His anger still burning in his eyes and he began to walk toward him. Frey however was very calm and knew exactly how to deal with the man, He steadied himself and simply waited for an opportunity to make his move. The man thrashed forwards and opened both his arms in an attempt to grab Frey but fell short, Frey had already rolled under the mans legs and swiftly kicked him in the rump. Being so tall and muscled has its advantages, but the mans positioning and stance gave him no balance causing him to fall into a table and knock himself out with a bang. "Now that that's all said and done..il take my leave" Frey walks over and grabs his ale, Chugs the remainder of It and promptly walks out of the tavern.

Sirene kept her cold eyes focused on the two men as she leaned back in her chair, resting the wooden back against the wall. She then brought her boot-clad feet up to sit on the table, balancing herself on the chair. Her eyes diverted for a moment, to wave away a bar maid inquiring on if she wanted a drink. When she looked back to the two men, one was lying on the wood floor of the tavern and the other had already left the building.

She immediately jumped up from her chair, the wood object crashing to the floor as her feet did as well. Striding forward, she quickly made her way across the tavern to the fallen man. "Are you alright sir?" Sirene asked, faking sincerity. Her eyes scanned over the man's body as she pretended to aid him. The fact that he was unconscious made her lips form a smirk again as she fished a few coins out of his pocket before stepping away to make room for the bar maid to fix up the table.

Sirene left the tavern with a slight bounce in her step, happy that her theft had gone without incident. The elf woman pulled her green hood up the moment she was out of the building, shielding her eyes from the sunlight that still had not dropped below the horizon. She pulled her hand out, bringing it close to her face and inspecting the coins. "I should have expected he would not have much.." she snorted, sliding the few copper coins into her coin purse. Sirene shrugged her shoulders slightly, knowing that a man spending so much time in a bar would have undoubtedly spent all his money on ale. She continued down the road, kicking up patches of light brown dust behind her. "I am definitely going to need more money if I am going to get more materials."

Random Event!

As the two adventurers walk out of the tavern a powerful dark aura strikes their minds, If they were to look around they would see no one else is effected by this ominous power. This strange presence feels as if it is resonating from the north, Towards the main capital. Very suddenly there appears a figure of a man who seems to be dressed in tattered clothing, His image is blurred and hard to make out. This man speaks to Sirene and Frey, Though its the same man both the travelers are seeing separate illusions. "Not much time...Danger....World savior....Travel....Swamps....Save them....Destroy them.." The sentence was unclear and words became unheard or there were simply gaps in the mans speech, Though his voice sounded as if it were urgent and his haste coupled with the aura around the travelers would tell anyone something is certainly wrong. The image then fades away before any response could be made, Leaving the two Travelers to hear the towns hustle and bustle.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Upon seeing this image, Frey felt a chill go up his spine. The aura he had felt just before this strange man appeared before him felt almost familiar as if he had felt it before. "This sounds promising" Frey pauses and walks out on the street while stretching his arms upward. "North it is then" Not being accustomed to feeling aura's and seeing people who apparently weren't there, Frey was more then confused about the matter. He did not waver at the idea of evil and danger however, And began looking around town for supplies. Frey begins walking down the street and picking up food and a flask from a vendor, Bread and salted meats as well as two herbs he knew had a slight healing effect. Frey did not have much money in his pocket and so he only had enough supplies for a day and a half of travel, Shrugging he decided he would have to find work in the next town over.

Land information

Within the Kingdom of Galgea there are many towns and outposts adventurers use daily to resupply and get around the large landscape, The kingdom itself spans almost one quarter of the known world and is littered with settlements around its outer rim. The capital, From the travelers location is between four to six days travel on foot to the north. Between were they are now and the capital are two towns, One is small in populace known as Delspire, This town has no walls and few watchmen to guard it and is often under attack by bandits and thieves it is also the first town on the road to the capital. The other is Selforal a larger town guarded by stone city walls and town watchmen, This town is rumored to house adventurers whom are attempting to delve into a cave under the lake of the region. It is said that magic tomes and riches can be found within such a place, but they have been unsuccessful in reaching it

Sirene froze in fear at the sight, her blue eyes widened and nearly bulging out of her head. Upon being released by the aura, she rubbed her arms with her hands, wrists to shoulders. She felt a faint tug as her hands grazed over leather bracers, but other than that she felt skin against goose-bumped skin. Sirene shook her head, several strands of her wheat coloured hair falling from the confines of her hood.

"This is insane.." she murmured, pulling her coin purse out once more. The elf knew she would need much more coin before she tried to travel northward. With the aura she felt still giving her chills, Sirene walked quickly toward the market. Her eyes wandered around the mess of people and market stalls, looking for another target to lift some coin off of.

Hey eyes finally fell on a man, seemingly human, purchasing food and beginning to move away from the market. She began to walk forward, rather fast at first, but then matching the man's speed as she drew closer. Sirene felt the heat of the bodies around her, all trying to purchase or sell goods and used them and the noise to cover her crime. She finally found herself walking just behind and to the right of the man, her hand mere inches away from where she believed his coin would be stored.

Frey continued to walk through the rabble of the town, After buying his supplies he had placed them into his leather stitched travel satchel which hung to the left of his body. While walking he rested his right hand on his blade which clanked lightly against the hilt as his feet hit the path before him. Frey did not notice the person behind him attempting to steal from him, But when they find themselves successful they will find no coin. He continued through town stopping only once to wait for a horse drawn carriage to pass by him, Reaching the end of town he stretches his hands upwards and yawns, The sun now reaching mid day. Thinking to himself as he eyes the road ahead of him wearily he begins to step foreword, "I have a feeling today is just the start of something full of potential"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 10, 2013 2:03 pm

Sirene frowned when she found the man's pocket empty and slid her hand out of his pocket, lifting a few coins from the woman walking past. She stepped away from the crowd of people, finally breathing in air that wasn't so stuffy and filled with bodies. She continued walking, passing by a smaller stall and handing over some coins in exchange for steel arrow tips, then wrapping them in a leather cloth and sliding them into her quiver.

She smiled sweetly at the woman behind the stall, as she looked tired, her deep set wrinkles accented by the waning sunlight. Departing from the market area, the elf woman brushed the loose strands of blonde hair behind her left ear, letting out a long breath. She concentrated on the sound of her feet in the dirt and the slight rattling of the shafts of the arrows in her quiver. Standing at the arch leading out of the town, she looked up, her eyes scanning the sky, for no particular reason other than pure hope that what she had seen earlier today was a product of dehydration and not a quest she would truly have to embark on.

Frey began walking outwards from the town he had only previously entered a few days before. His destination unknown but his sword arm ready for anything that decided to come his way. As his feet kicked up the dirt from underneath him he begins to wonder if he would ever make the journey back to his home town. The city its self was out of the way and hard to find without the knowledge of the landscape, Not many adventurers travelled there and the few that did never stayed long. Frey's mind continued to wander as he entered the forest of Darkness, Rightly named due to the tall Grell tree's that seemed to reach for the clouds. It's well known that the forest is home to many bandits and thieves but this didn't bother Frey, The only thing he needed to do is make sure that he didn't stop to speak to anyone asking for help and to keep his hand on his blades hilt. As he continued to walk within the forest the warm air slowly became cooled as the sun began to disappear from above the treeline, As the forest became darker Frey became evermore vigilant.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 13, 2013 1:28 pm

The elf woman shook her head slightly, clearing the hesitant thoughts from her head. She moved her feet forward, crossing through the opening in the wall of the city. Sirene wandered down the road, avoiding the people making their way into the town for the night. She glanced at a few of the people walking past, finding that the majority of them had sun-worn skin and tired faces from a hard day's work.

She watched the ground after the town's citizens had passed, amused by the way the shadows of the tree branches snake across the dirt road. The road was empty, except for a lone man far ahead dressed in dark clothing. Sirene frowned and side-stepped into the edge of the forest, realizing that it was the man she had attempted to steal from earlier. She wasn't sure if he had noticed her in the city or now, but wasn't going to take any chanced, as the man's hand was at his sword.

Frey Algren Selfora

As Frey walked down the path within the forest, He made note of the murky smell in the air. The subtle aroma was almost like a swamp wet with morning dew, The ground was also getting a little wet and muddy as the sun was all but gone from the sky. Frey's feet imprinted in the mud as he continued on the path, He had been walking for at least an hour by now but without the sun he couldn't really tell for sure. The walk within the forest was long and full of danger, Generally even well armed caravans sometimes cant make it through without losing members of their team. Frey walking all alone was sure to bring more then a few prying eyes to his blade, Knowing this he has had his hand on his hilt for quite some time but his hand is beginning to feel sweaty and cramped. Releasing his grip on his blade Frey stops walking to take a small breather within the forest, Deciding to Sit down on a nearby log which has foliage just behind it.
