It's finally June, and that means Pride! blaugh
Do any of you participate in Pride Month activities in your area? Ever attend a Pride Film Festival? Club event? Parade?
If not, I encourage you to do so. Even if you can't be in Pride because you live out in the boonies, you can still participate online! heart
There is no shame in being yourself. My advice to you is to be proud of who you are, of who you're becoming or who you've become. There's no greater joy than discovering that you're an OK person, despite what the bullies & haters have said. 3nodding
As you can tell, I'm an advocate of Pride. If you feel differently, I'd like to hear from you, too. Do you feel like Pride excludes you? Is it too campy? Too corporate? Let's hear it, there's always room for improvement!

Last year was the first time I ever got to visit and/or participate in any Pride events. I volunteered to help out at Denver PrideFest, and I had something of a good time. Sadly, I got placed in the "family" area which meant helping out with little kids for eight hours. So I've decided to give volunteering at PrideFest a miss this year. We'll have to see if I even get to visit PrideFest this year.

I might go... getting to Twin Cities Pride is really tricky, though. It takes forever, too and I only live like 5-10 minutes away.

Where I am at pride isn't till August, though there is a small pride going on about three hours from here this weekend that I might go to. XD
