There is a darkness growing in the forest. Those in the west say it comes from the east. Those in the east say it comes from the west. The northern and southern zurui are similarly confused. Only one thing is certain... whatever it is that began this darkness is something that troubles even those blessed by Inari herself....
This is a concept contest, but it is also an RP event. To join in, follow the steps below, and be aware... it is not just a pretty face we're looking for. To capture our imagination, you must be active and creative.
This event will last from now until 30.June.13 @ 9pm CST. Prizes will be announced during the event, as well as within 48 hours after the event ends. Prizes will be handed out as staff is able to create them once announced. Please be patient. And finally, no Gaian is allowed to win more than one Zurui in this event, but Gaians are allowed to make up to three different zurui for the event itself.
A final note: There will be one guaranteed winner to this event, but staff are free to choose a winner at any time, so more than one winner may be selected to recieve the zurui of their form. Remember... be active, be aware, be creative, and HAVE FUN!
Instructions - Step One: Fill out the form below and post it in this thread. This form may be filled out and posted at any time after the event has begun. Xenia had been chosen by Inari to find out what this darkness was. But to do that she would need to find out where it came from. No one knew. Everyone said it came from somewhere else. She figured she would start up north and work her way down. She had gotten a mapa and the essentials she thought she would need. She brought three friends with her and headed North. She wasn't scared she loved adventure and this seemed like a perfect time to explore the world. She had learned about each area and knew enough about them to stay safe and not get lost. She had food and water which would help and had told some friends where she was going in case she never returned. Her feet stopped at the edge of the Northern forest. She was excited to find out what was causing this darkness. Xenia and her friends went into the forest to find someone who knew the cause of the blackness. Someone had to know where it came form and why. And she would find them.
Zabrina had always been the curious type. Her infamy throughout the North was enough to confirm that. Kits would stay up late at night, thrilling each other with the stories of her adventures. So, naturally, it was no surprise to anyone when she began asking about the darkness. "Come on Roxie, come with me!" Zabrina prodded her friend. "When are you gonna have another chance to explore the world again? And maybe we will find the secret to this 'darkness' we keep hearing so much about!" "I don't know, Zabrina," Roxie said, "it sounds kinda dangerous." Roxie was Zabrina's best friend. They had met each other when they were just four weeks old, and had been best friends ever since. "Aw, come on Rox, it'll be funn!" Zabrina pleaded. "I promise if anything bad happens, we'll come right back." Zabrina patiently waited for Roxie's answer. Finally, it came. "Alright," she said, "I'll come with you." Zabrina bounced happily. "Yay! Don't you worry about anything, Rox, I'll get together food, water, all the necessities, all you need to do is be outside my den at 6 a.m. tomorrow." Roxie rolled her eyes. "Alright," she said, "will do."

Early the next morning, Zabrina stepped outside her den and sniffed. The air smelled distinctly of adventure. She looked around. Roxie was nowhere to be seen. She sighed. "Looks like I have to go wake Roxie up." Just as she finished her sentence, Roxie bounded up. "Sorry I'm late," she panted, out of breath, "I couldn't get away from my mother." Zabrina rolled her eyes. "Your mother seriously needs to take a chill pill," Zabrina said. "But, look, I have everything we need! I brought enough food for weeks on end, water to quench a thousand zurui's thirst, and some blankets, just in case." Roxie snorted. "Blankets? What are we, kits?" Zabrina shot her a look. "Shut up, we might need them, you never know." "Alright," Roxie said, "fine." Looking out over the many miles of desert ahead of them, Roxie sighed, and looked at Zarbina, and smirked. "Ready to find out about this darkness?" Zarbina looked at her best friend. "Totally." Just as the sun was coming up over the horizon, the two stepped out onto the hot sand of the desert, determined to find what, or who, was causing this darkness, and where it was coming from.

Questions to Answer This Round:
1) What is the first danger your zurui or group has faced? 2) Is there loss involved? Is it a zurui that is lost, or some important object? 3) How will they cope when it starts to rain? To rain very hard? 4) Are they beginning to doubt themselves, or are they secure in their confidence?

Xenia and her friends were walking in the forest trying to find someone who knew about this darkness. They had talked to a lot of others but on one seemed to know anything about this darkness that was spreading across the land. Her friends and her wouldn't give up though. Inari had asked her to do this and given her her blessing. She couldn't just so oh sorry no one knows anything and we got bored. This was a challenge and Xenia loved challenges. "It's like a giant puzzle. We can figure it out don't worry. You love puzzles Xenia." Her friend Beth said. Xenia hugged her and nodded. Of they could solve it. They just had to be patient. Xenia picked up her head and put a new pep in her step. She was excited again and knew her friends were right. As they got deeper into the forest Xenia felt like they were being followed. After a few days of this feeling they were attacked by a tiger. They fought and finally managed to fight off the tiger. They had some injuries but no one was badly hurt. They had escaped with their lives and were thrilled to have been able to fight a tiger off. But as the day went on they realized they had lost some of their food. They were worried about this. Could they find food in this forest. Or would they run out of food before they found out what they needed to know. Zora was the most scared. "Xenia how will we find food? Is there anything in this forest we can eat?" Xenia nodded "Yes remember we read about those fruits we could eat? They grow in this forest we just have to find the trees that they grow on." Their search for these fruit trees began. After a few days it began to rain. They hid under a tree and found a cave they could hide in. They found a zurui that told them about where to find the fruit trees and a little bit about this darkness. They thanked the water zurui and went out into the rain but then it began to poor. The zuruis ran and hid under another tree. They looked up to find the fruit they had been looking for. The girls danced in joy. And climbed the tree grabbing some fruit. But they heard howls and stayed up in the tree. The hunters down bellow circled the tree but couldn't get to them. Xenia told her friends to relax and get some sleep. They woke up the next morning and it was a bright sunny day all of them still alive.
