My name is Dorian Pond and I am a legacy.
I have seen a lot in my 13 years.
My Mortal Parent, Bianca Pond, raised me from birth.
hough it turns out I am descended from Pluto
What led to my discovery of all this? Well you see...
I was actually born in New Rome, so I suppose you could say that I've always known that the Empire never really died. Really I had no idea people even thought that way. I remember finding out that my mom was a Daughter of Pluto when I asked her about the tattoo on her arm. She also told me that my dad had run off, so I never really knew him that well, but Mom told me that he was some kind of Legacy of Proserpina. I guess that's kind of weird, since my godly ancestors actually happen to be married, but I really don't think about it that much.

A couple of months ago, my mom gave me a dagger made of Stygian Iron. She said something about getting it from Pluto went she went to the Underworld and that made it really special. She also gave me a letter and told me that it was really, really important or something. Right when I was about to ask her why it was so important, she left me in a place known as the Wolf House where I was trained by a wolf. But this wasn't just any wolf. This was Lupa, the wolf that basically helped to start the Roman Empire.

Training, how do I describe training? Training is like your worst nightmare multiplied by the population of the entire world, and that's saying something coming from someone born in New Rome. Yeah, I figured it would be hard, but I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. At least I knew better than to complain. Some of the kids who weren't from New Rome, well, I won't say anything about them.

Eventually, I had to leave the Wolf House. No, there weren't any issues with me. It was just that I needed to go find my way to the Legion. It was normal for any demigod to do. I faced quite a few obstacles, but I eventually found my way.
And that's when I arrived at Camp Jupiter.
Since then, I have been at camp for a whopping one year.
And I have the rank of Legionnaire
In the (cohort - leave this blank!) Cohort.

I usually am told I act like I'm my own best friend. I just don't really see the point in relying that much on other people. What? They can be annoying, and they could lie. Before I know it, I could very well end up with a knife in my back. I mean sure, put me in a group and I'll work with them to get a goal accomplished, but only if we've all got the same goal. If we don't, well, someone's going to get an earful.

When it comes to authority, I'd rather not listen to it, but I know when it's good for me to do so. I do have to preserve myself. Given the chance, I'd probably like to see everyone suffering in a large amount of pain, but something tells me that's frowned upon in the Legion.

What? You're wondering how you get on my good side. Well, since you asked really nicely, I guess I'll tell you. You really just have to prove yourself to me. That or be a really annoying persistent weirdo who just doesn't take a hint. Yeah, I do warm up to those people. Might as well reward them for their toils.

I really like zombie stories, as you would expect from a Legacy of Pluto. Any sort of zombies do. Just not the fast moving kind. That's just messed up. I also watching the boating competitions on the lake. It's really relaxing and nobody bothers me when I go out there. I also enjoy sweets, I mean what sort of kid doesn't like sweats. And that's about it. No, I'm not putting my last one. Or maybe I will, just promise not to tell anyone. I like flowers. It's kind of a secret though.
But I hate having to listen to authority, as I told you before. I also really don't like having to do chores, especially when they involve cleaning the latrines. I also have a distaste for working with other people. Finally, I really don't like people telling my secrets, so you better not say anything about the flowers!
And Please don't bring in people who think that gold is just automatically attracted to me because of my grandfather and dragons. They're just so big and annoying and bad-tempered. I hate competition in that area.
But no matter what one day I want, well, I want a lot to be honest. I think for now, I'll start with Centurion, then maybe Praetor, and then quite possibly the world. I mean, if that fails, I'll just live in New Rome, find something to do. That or I won't retire.

In case I have to fight I have a Stygian Iron dagger, an Imperial Gold sword, an a shield. It's just an ordinary shield.
I'm really good at using my dagger, being on my own, seeing in darkness and sometimes I manage to communicate with the dead, but that's really hard and takes a lot.
But I'm horrible at creating things that are good for healing people, listening all the time, trusting other people, and swimming.

The first night on his own. The first night Dorian would have to be completely, and entirely on his own. The Legacy enjoyed it. After all, being around people and actually having to work with them wasn't his forte. He preferred traveling by night, something that actually ended up playing to his advantage. He could see just as well, and fewer creatures bothered him. Of course, there was always the threat that a monster was just around the corner. Perhaps there was even one following him right now.

Dorian turned around to find nothing. Nothing but the path that he had walked to get to the point at which he currently stood. When he turned around, the Legacy of Pluto discovered giant serpent-like creatures, one with three heads. His hand immediately went for the dagger his mother had given him. It was right next to the letter. The letter that told of his mother's history in the Legion, and of his father's. His mother, a Daughter of Pluto was part of the First Cohort, something she was always proud of. But not proud enough to ignore his Legacy of Proserpina father in the Third Cohort. Given his history, Dorian was able to remember that these creatures were called dracones and some of them had deadly venom.

Drawing his dagger, the boy ran straight into the two monsters. He stabbed at them with the knife. They seemed frightened just by the sight of the blade. That was just as well. However, scared creatures could be just as difficult to fight than ones that wanted him dead. Thrusting the blade into the one with the single blade, Dorian felt the beast go limp. Pulling his hand out, he noticed it was covered in what he could only assume was monster guts. He then turned his attention to the other one. The one with the extra head. Would it run or would it fight? Dorian stood and watched the beast, ready to slay it if needed.
