Juno's temple is similar to her husband's, the second largest on Temple Hill. It is also an open structure built of white marble, thirty five feet in height. The pillars are thinner and they are decorated with peacocks circling in mid-flight around them. The floors are painted with beautiful scenes of the goddess alone and with her husband from ancient Roman mythology. In the center of the temple is a statue of the goddess in shimmering gold, carrying a lotus staff with a goat skin cloak hung over her shoulders. There is an opening in the roof that allows for the sunlight to shine down on the statue.
