Alright, I see no one has posted a Church Meeting Topic yet, so I'll go ahead and do so. (hope this is OK with everyone). This is my first time doing this, so here goes!
As the title denotes the topic of this Church Meeting will be Focus .
I feel that something we can all benefit from, is really taking the time to be focused on God. So many things in our lives, from not loving our neighbor, to bad habits, to negative feelings and anxiety stem from one thing: not focusing on God. Throughout scripture, this is hammered down again and again. And honestly if you think about it, so many problems could be avoided if we focused on our Creator and His commandments. Below are a couple of places in scripture about keeping our focus on Him:
" Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers." Psalm 1:1-3
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal....But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble" Matthew 6: 19-20;33-34.
Seeking God's kingdom and meditating on His Word is what we're here for! It's what we were designed to do! So for these 2 weeks, put God as your focus. Meditate on his Word and seek His kingdom. Don't worry so much about what's going on in this world, for it is passing away. Focus on Christ, the only thing that matters.

I have been jumping on gaia for a little bit to answer messages and such and will from now on be limiting my computer time.

Didn't know how good it would be since it's so short, but I'm glad it helps people. Hope you recover on your hiatus.
