In bed above or deep asleep.
While greater love lies further deep.

Name: Luna
Age: 22
Race: Human
Personility: Shy, submissive and trusting
Likes: Beach, books, tea, and the stars
Dislikes: Being punished, yelling, chains, and dogs
Bio: Luna was born into slavery, her parents having been slaves themselves who were forced to breed with one another. Once she was born, she was able to stay with her mother until she was five years old, then she was branded with a serial number and sold off to a different master. Ever since then she has never seen her mother or father and she has had her fair share of masters. She had learned since birth to not fight back and her first year away from her mother was the harshest year since she learned that having a temper tantrum would not be tolerated. Luna learned very quickly that her life would never be normal and she would never be free, so she embraced her life as a slave. Her last master was a cruel one and was actually killed by one of his own slaves so she is now back in the black market, sitting in a cage day by day as she waits for her fate to be decided for her.

Story

Everything was pitch black, darkness filled Luna’s vision and everything was silent. It was almost as if the darkness was sucking in all the sound that came near it but did that mean that the darkness was sucking her in as well? Had she fallen into a black hole or something? Opening her eyes, Luna looked around her master’s familiar room. She was sleeping on the cold marble floor at the end of his bed. He had always had her sleep there ever since he had bought her a few years ago. Had it really been years since she had been living in this hell hole?

Sighing, Luna sat up, wincing as her bruised muscled complained and a few of her bones popped as she stiffly moved them. Her back was sore from sleeping on the floor and from the whipping she had gotten last week. The wounds were healing nicely, though they were still very tender. Luna rubbed her eyes and she yawned and then looked around again, her master wasn’t in bed which was odd since he usually made it a habit to wake her up when he got up.

Frowning, Luna listened again wondering where her master was at the moment. It was possible that he had gone down to bug the other slaves; he had gotten a new one not too long ago. But as Luna stood up and continued to listen, she couldn’t hear anything. Usually you could hear the master yelling out orders or other slaves running about with their morning duties. Yet Luna couldn’t hear anything.

Walking over to the door, Luna opened it and looked around the empty hall. Everything was silent, and Luna could feel herself begin to panic a bit. As she walked down the hallway, all that could be heard was the bell that was around her neck and even as she went down the stairs and headed toward the kitchen which was always alive with slaves cooking and stealing a bit to eat. But this morning it was silent.

So just what was wrong? Did something happen that had the master rush out of his home in the dead of night without even waking her or the other slaves. But if that was the case then wouldn’t there be slaves wondering about just like her? Biting her lip, Luna reached out a shaking hand as she pushed the kitchen door opened.

Luna stared in the kitchen as she froze in her spot and time seemed to stop. All she could see was red; the kitchen was covered in dark, red and thick paint. But it wasn’t really paint. As Luna’s eyes drifted to the floor, there was her master’s lifeless body lying on the floor as the new slave continued to stab him with the chef’s knife. She was covered in his blood and it was like something had possessed her as she kept mumbling under breath.

The sound of screaming suddenly filled Luna’s ears as she stumbled back and hit the door frame as she covered her mouth with her hands, tears filling her eyes. That’s when she realized that she was the one screaming, her lungs burning for oxygen as she couldn’t stop herself. The new slave looked up at her and smiled.

“We’re free.” She laughed and dropped the knife as she continued to laugh. “Freedom!”

This girl must have gone insane and Luna choked back another scream as she cowered in the corner by the door. Then the other door flung opened as Flora, an old lady that usually saw to keeping the house cleaned and orderly, walked in and spotted Luna.

“There you are!” She said as she walked past the insane slave and the dead master. She pulled Luna up and started to drag her through the house, “Come on child. The police will be here soon. Everyone is outside.”

As soon as they made it outside, the police pulled up and ran into the house and all the slaves huddled together. After a while they came out with the still laughing slave girl and put her into the police car, driving her away. Then they were all ushered into a line as another car drove up and out walked a man. He looked similar to her dead master and could only be his younger brother as he began to walk down the line, deciding who would stay and who would be sold off.

Luna was one of the ones that were going to sold off as she was dragged over to a police van and then the group of them were driven off. They were sold to the local slave trader and from there they were sold off to various masters and other slave traders.

After about a week of traveling, Luna finally came to a vast slave market and was pulled through a crowd of people before being pushed into a cage, hitting her forehead on the bars. She winced and rubbed her head as the cage door slammed close. From the feel of it, she was going to have a pretty nasty bruise right above her right eye.

Looking out of the cage, she was surrounded by dozens of people, cages were spread out in rows as masters and mistresses walked around, inspecting the slaves. Biting her lip, she pulled her legs close to her body as she sat in the middle of the cage and rested her chin on her knees. A huge man came up and shoved a small cup of water and a steal biscuit through the bars onto the floor. Luna picked them up and took a sip of the water, then placed it under her legs as she nibbled at the hard biscuit and waited for the inevitable to happen.

Name: Aura
Age: 264
Race: Elemental
Personility: Stubborn, hard-headed and calculating
Likes: Freedom, being near the elements, pizza and proving she's right
Dislikes: Cruel people, being told what to do, and pain
Bio: Aura is a young elemental who went out on her own to see the world and she watched it develop over time. There were always new things to be discovered and learned and every she went back home, she would bring back adventures and stories. Her parents were worried about her leaving all the time but Aura never listened, being at such a young age she saw herself as invincible and nothing in the world could bring her down. However, she was wrong as one night when she lay asleep in the tops of the trees she was captured and drugged. She awoke inside a cage with people shuffling around and looking in at her. She tried to use her powers to break out but found that the drug inhibited her abilities, so she was just like any other human...until the drug wares off of course. Which only takes about a weeks time, something she hopes the idiot that buys her wouldn't know about.

Story

“Oh, Aura, my child. Please don’t leave us again.” A woman said as she wrapped her pale thin arms around a girl that looked like a younger version of the older woman. The elder woman seemed to be holding back tears as her arms tightened around the girl and she kissed the top of her head.

“Mom! I’m 264 years old. I’ll be fine, I promise.” Aura rolled her eyes and pushed out of her mother’s grasp.

“Then how about you try and come home sooner this time so your mother doesn’t go insane from worry.” Her father’s voice cut through the air as he walked into her sight with his arms open.

Aura sighed but hugged him back as he chuckled and ruffled her hair, “Dad! Not the hair!” She grumbled as she pulled away from him and fixed her hair.
“Oh like it’s not going to get messed up anyways.” Her dad rolled his eyes this time and kissed her on the cheek. “So you’ll be back in a few months this time?” he asked as he watched Aura turn her back to them about to head off.

Aura looked over her shoulder at them with smile, “I’ll try my best but no promises. Don’t worry though; I’ll come back in time to get my birthday presents.”

With that she winked and ran off out of the forest that her home had always been in. Aura had been traveling the world for nearly two hundred years now. She had seen Napoleon fall, had been a part of the group that discovered Antarctica, when the first telephone had been connected. She had even seen the civil war, and had entered the first Olympics, when Armstrong landed on the moon. She was there when the Berlin wall fell and she was right there in the middle of it all while the volcano exploded in Iceland.

She’s seen everything as it’s been imagined, invented and developed. She can remember when cars were strange and phones were bigger than your head. All the adventures she has had, she’s loved every minute of it and wouldn’t give it up for anything. Even those times when she thought she may never see home again. Being in the middle of wars wasn’t really the safest thing and so of course she has been badly hurt every now and then. But nothing she couldn’t handle.

Smiling to herself, Aura jumped into the trees, now in a forest very far from home. She’d been away from home for about a month now and she yawned as she sat down on a branch and leaned back looking up at the stars in the night sky. The moon was out, shining down on the earth below as it gave some light to those that were traveling. But no one ever traveled by foot anymore, it was a bit sad seeing that disappear over time. Aura missed it when she could have been following old dirt paths and come across travelers like herself, those were the days. Chuckled, Aura shook her head and stretched as she got comfortable in the tree and dozed off, thinking about home and what adventure would she encounter next on her travels this time around.

They came in the middle of the night, the group of slave hunters. It is true that slavery had been made illegal a long time ago but as more and more races were introduced to the humans and they found out that they weren’t the only ones on this planet; slavery had started to become the normal thing once again. So slave hunters was a pretty normal thing and Aura shouldn’t have been as shocked as she was when she was woken up with a start and found herself in a cage and chains.

She was in the back of an old truck and surrounded by others that had been caught as well. Looking around quickly, she smirked to herself as she began to call on her powers of the elements. She was going to explode of this and give these guys a piece of her mind but as she felt her power rising, a sudden sharp pain shot through her veins. Aura screamed as she doubled over, tears forming in her eyes and falling down her face. The pain, it was everywhere; it filled her body and took over her every thought. She couldn’t get away, she couldn’t use her powers.

Aura screamed again the pain became worse and more intense and as she opened her eyes all she saw were the terrified looks of the others as her venison began to darken and her dreams replaced the pain.

There were many people talking, some were close, others were far. But it sounded like a busy city as she could hear them walking around and with a cough, Aura opened her eyes and blinked. Slowly she sat up and took in her surroundings. She was stilled chained up and in a cage but it was smaller this time as she was in her own cage on a cement floor with a few bits of straw here and there. And as she looked out around her, she saw that she wasn’t the only one and that there were people walking around and looking in at the cages, some were even looking in at hers now that she was awake.

Then with a gasp and a horrified shock, Aura realized that she was in a slave market and she was to be sold as a slave. Aura glared up at the others looking in at her cage and growled lowly at them but it seemed to not have much effect on them at all. Sighing, she looked herself over and noticed a mark on her arm, which must have been how they had gotten the drug in her system. A drug that kept her from using her powers, what would they think of next. A collar that could block her powers?

“Actually yes, we did.” A man’s voice said suddenly.

Aura jumped and looked up, “Did what?” She wasn’t shock that he had read her thoughts; it was a normal thing these days for some.

“That collar you’re wearing is what is blocking your powers. You can’t take it off, only your master can. Also the needle mark is from when they had drugged you to keep you asleep. Wouldn’t want you waking up while being kidnapped.” The man smirked as his yellow eyes looked down at her, “You’ll be a wonderful profit.”

Aura stood up and walked over to him, “Over my dead body.” She growled at him as the chains stopped her movements.

The man laughed, “We would never kill you. So you’d have to take your own life.” He winked at her and then turned around and disappeared through the crowd of people.

Aura clinched her fist and paced around her cage, she felt like her whole world was crashing down on her. But she at least could form a plan of getting out of here, there was no way she was ever going to be a slave. She was never going to follow orders and do what some stuck up pig had told her do. Not ever.

Name: Vanya
Age: Unknown
Race: Elf
Personality: Gentle, kind, and stubborn
Likes: Nature, kind people, and the sunlight
Dislikes: Creatures of the dark, meat, and crying
Bio: Vanya has lived a normal life like any other elf that lived in the forests, she has her parents and her siblings as well as her friends. She has always had everything she has ever wanted and was happy with her life, that is, until they came. They destroyed the whole forest and enslaved everyone who wasn't killed in the fight. She was ripped away from her family and sold off to a slave trader who took her far from her home in chains. Vanya is far from home as she waits to be sold off but she still has hope and dreams of escaping and finding her family.

It was a sunny morning with a cool breeze that swept away the red and yellow leaves from tree branches. Covering the ground in their bright colors, the animals of the forest would dig underneath them to get what was left of summer food before the winter came. Squirrels had already stuffed their homes with nuts and the deer and bears were starting to stay in their dens, as they would drift off in sleep, one for all of winter and the other would wake up soon to look for food.

Vanya smiled as she walked through the forest, a bag made of wood bark was in her hands as she carried back some berries that she had found. It was the last of them but she wasn’t worried since she and her people had saved up plenty for themselves to survive this winter, just like they did every winter. A small bird chirped in the distance and flew into view as it landed in the basket of berries. Vanya chuckled and gently stroked its feathers before letting it fly off with a berry in its mouth.

Most of the birds had all gone by now but a few were still left behind since their feathers were thicker and they were able to stand the cold longer. But still, it was a beautiful day, regardless of the cold. As she walked over a hill, looking down was her small village. The elven race wasn’t as grand as it used to be, her kind had been hunted down and used as slaves for many years now. Only a few were left that were still free, like her village. They stayed hidden among the trees and deep within the forest so that the animals could warn them of hunters that were coming.

It had been a while since they had last seen any hunters and so there was a peacefulness that filled the village since hunters usually only came during the spring and summer and so they should still be alright for another months. Then they would most likely pack up and leave to find another place to settle down. They didn't dare stay in the same place for very long and get too comfortable. The longer they stayed in an area the easier it was to find them so they moved often but Vanya never mind. She enjoyed traveling around the world and seeing new places.

“Vanya!” A little boy ran up the hill to and threw his arms around her waist. “I thought you got lost, you took so long!” He pouted up at her, his red hair blowing in the wind.

Looking down at him she smiled, “Colby, it’s alright. I would never leave you behind. What would mom and dad say if I had?” She ruffled his hair and the two of them walked back in the village.

After passing the berries off to another elf who would sort through it and then preserve them, Vanya followed her younger brother back to where her family hut.

“Oh good, Vanya your back. Help me with these blankets.” Her mother said as she held out a blanket to her and motion for her to sit next to her. “As for you Colby, shouldn’t you be in training right now?”
Their mother raised an eyebrow at him and he started with surprise. “It’s time already?” He then grabbed his wooden sword and ran out of the small hut to join his friends.

Even though this day and age people mostly fought with guns and chemicals, their village still liked to teach them the traditional way of fighting. It was better to strengthen your senses than rather let a machine take care of all the work for you. Even the women were trained to fight just like the men. After finishing off the blankets, she helped her mother with diner and cleaning up the small hut since her brother and father would be back soon. After dinner, Vanya and Colby played a few games before their mother told them it was time for bed.

All was quiet by midnight as the whole village was fast asleep and only a few elves were left on patrol. But no one heard them killed in the dead of night until they were surrounded and the hunters cried out as they charged the village. There were screams and clashing of metal as guns fired and bombs exploded. Vanya woke with a start and grabbed her sai as her mother grabbed Colby and they followed behind her father. A loud blast sounded behind them and they were thrown forward.

Vanya couldn’t hear much as she opened her eyes and sat up, looking around for her family. Her father was already fighting with a hunter and looking over she saw her mother’s lifeless body as Colby cried over her. Standing up, Vanya grabbed her brother and pulled him close as she turned just in time to see her father shot in the head. Ducking a few hunters, Vanya ran, wanting so desperately to get her brother away from all of this and for the two of them to survive. But she soon was stopped and pushing Colby behind her, she fought with the hunter in front of her. She was able to kill him but not behind another hunter grabbed her brother and took off with him.

Vanya followed them, blinded by fear as she fell right into their trap and she was caught in a net of rope high in the trees. She yelled out for Colby as she helplessly watched him get taken away and as she watched her village get burned to the ground. Once the fighting had stopped, she was cut down and landed with a thud on the ground. Dazed she tried to get up but felt a sharp pain in the back of her head as darkness took over.

There were people talking, many people were talking and as Vanya opened her eyes, the light nearly blinded her. With a groan she woke up and sat up, only to find that she was chained up and in a cage, surrounded by hundreds of people as a few looked in and others walked by. With a start, she stood up and looked around at the others cages, hoping to find Colby but sadly she couldn’t see him and then she realized that he had to still be alive just being sold off like she was. Sighing, she took her fate with grace but she was determined to find her brother and to free them both from this hell hole.

Name: Cordelia Aquamarine
Age: Immortal; appears 18
Race: Water Nymph
Personality: Loving, Stubborn, Hard to trust
Likes: Ocean, wine, fruits and animals
Dislikes: Cruelty, meat, fake people and gold
Bio: Cordelia is the youngest of four brothers and the only daughter to the King and Queen of the water nymphs. She grew up with her people and was well liked by everyone. Cordelia loved living underwater and letting her mermaid form free to swim with the animals and pull pranks on her brothers. It was when Cordelia was swimming on her own that she saw fishermen. Cordelia had been curious about them, since her kind never interacted with humans. Swimming closer she watched them for a while but because she had been so interested in watching them, she didn't realize the net coming up until it was too late and she caught in it. Upon finding her in the net, the fishermen sold her off to a slave trader. She'd been through a few masters over the years but now has found herself back in the black market to be sold off again.

Story

A merman swam slowly through the brightly colored coral as he looked around as if he was trying to find someone. His dark blue hair flowed around him as his silver blue tail moved gracefully through the water and moved him around as he continued to search for something. Or possibly someone. Suddenly a slightly giggle could be heard in the distance and he smirked, pretending he didn’t hear as he continued to swim towards it.

Suddenly a mermaid jumped out from behind the coral and grabbed him as they spun around in the water, laughing and fighting each other. The girl’s hair was almost the same blue as her brother’s but it was lighter and her tail was a pure silver color as it sparkled in the sunlight. Cordelia playfully hit her brother with her tail and in a response he swam after her, soon catching up and tickling her.

Cordelia refused to give in though as she wiggled out of her brothers grasp and swam away but her other brother popped out of nowhere and held her down as the the other tickled her. This brother had green hair and blue eyes just like the rest of his siblings and his tail was like a foamy sea green. He was also older than the other brother.

“Uncle! Uncle!” Cordelia yelled through her laughter.

“Ha, I win!” Yelled Delphin as he stopped tickling her and pushed his blue hair behind his ear as he smiled triuphitly at his two siblings.

Murdock rolled his eyes, “Yeah, if it wasn’t for me you would have lost to our baby sister.” He smirked over at him just in time to see Delphin lunged for him and the two rolled around fighting each other.

Cordelia giggled and jumped in as well as the three siblings fought each other. Suddenly in the distance, Cordelia heard some humans. With a sly smile, she snuck away from her brothers and swam off. As much as she loved fighting with her brothers, humans had always made her curious. Her father and mother had always told her to stay away since they’re kind never got involved with humans. They left humans along so the humans left them alone, mostly because a good handful of them didn’t know they were real. But Cordelia liked to watch them and she could always just turn into her human form should she be seen, so it wasn’t like she was in any danger.

Upon reaching their boat, she smiled as she popped her head out of the water and watched them as she dragged in fishing nets and pulled the fish overboard. Tilting her head to the side, she got a bit closer, wanting to know what they did once they got the fish on their boat. It was just so much fish, did they really need that many fish? As she got closer, she didn’t realize that she had swam right into the path of the nets and she was suddenly pulled under as she became tangled in the net.
She fought back, trying to pull herself out but as she was pulled out of the water, she quickly forced herself to turn into a human, hoping that upon finding her, they would think that she had just gotten caught by the currents.Faking a cough, she pretended to gasp for air and some of the men cursed as they saw her in the nets.

Letting her out, they wrapped in a blanket and brought her some water. Think that she had fooled them, Cordelia smiled and thanked the men and telling them that she had gotten caught in the current. But what she didn’t know was that the captain was also a slave hunter. He had brought in his fair share of merpeople. The crew had went along with her story a bit too easily as she watched them with narrowed eyes. That’s when she noticed them bring out the handcuffs and Cordelia quickly made a jump for the sea but they grabbed and held her down as they handcuffed her and tied her to the boat.

Cordelia screamed for her brothers as they sped the boat away and she felt the tears coming down her face as she was taken away from her home. One of them ended up drugging her to make her sleep so that she wouldn’t keep yelling, making her throat raw. As she woke up from her sleep, she found herself in a small room with a small bed and a window that looked out to a hundreds of people as they looked in or walked around. That’s when she realized she was in the black market, to be sold off as a slave.

It was now about two hundred years later and Cordelia found her place in the slave world since her past few masters had only brought her to be a trophy slave. Someone that they showed off to their guest and then they let her do whatever she wanted. Cordelia wanted to go home of course and she was sure her family had looked for her but getting involved with other races was so strongly against her people’s ways that she was sure by now they had given up. So it was up to her to escape and find her way back home.

Her last master had died of old age and so she was back in the black market. Put up for display as she swam around the small tank, her silver tail sparkling in the spot lights above her tank. She was a rather obedient slave since she knew that the only to get out of here alive was to gain the trust of her master. She had almost escaped with the last one but sadly she is back here now, waiting to be sold off to yet another master.
