Just past the kitchens is a painting guarding the door to the Hufflepuff Common Room.
After supplying the password, which changes periodically, one steps into an inviting
room, painted a cheery yellow. There are black and yellow draperies on the walls. The
plush carpeting is a pristine white and stain resistant. Fat armchairs and couches provide
setting for the social Hufflepuffs. Checkered tables, used for chess, are scattered around
the perimeter, along with other tables for studying as well as play. The black doors leading
to the dormitories are round with a doorknob in the center.
