Gladiator Fighting ! ↷ Gladiator Fighting is a pretty simple game in that it involves two armed combatants battling against one another in the Coliseum. In the times of Ancient Rome, it would end at the discretion of the spectators, which would usually be in the death of one of the gladiators. In Camp Jupiter, the end of the fight isn't nearly as dramatic - it ends until one opponent is unable to fight, or the crowd just gets bored with you. Pretty straightforward.
↷ Competitors may use any weapon of their choosing, as well as any godly powers they may possess. They may not leave the ring, which is the Coliseum, during any part of the battle. They are also not allowed to receive outside help. So basically, whatever they bring in with them is what they're allowed to use. Characters are not allowed to kill each other unless given prior permission. Spectators in the stands are relatively safe where they are unless something rather extraordinary happens in the course of the fight.
↷ Users controlling characters participating in the fight have a choice in which they are allowed to roleplay Gladiator Fights. They may rolepay at their discretion or roleplay according to a battle system they have both agreed on. A battle system will not be provided by the guild. If members choose the prior, they are expected to adhere the guild's zero tolerance for godmodding, but if this becomes a problem, a battle system will be created.
↷ If participants choose to roleplay freely, they are asked to discuss the battle ahead of time so that there won't be future conflicts. All members posting are expected to read posts thoroughly so as to avoid missing anything important that the user may have had happened in their post. There won't be any specific posting limit put in place for Gladiator Fights.

Chariot Racing ! ↷ Chariot racing is done at the Circus Maximus and consists of four to six competitors per race. A competitor must be the first to complete six laps around the track to win. There are very loose restrictions as to what equipment may be used.
↷ The race track will be marked off with enough space for two chariots to fit side by side. Those who completely leave the track (i.e. entering the middle of the track, crashing into the stands) will be disqualified from the race. Chariots that may be used are defined as modified war chariots, or a wooden cart with an open back and two wheels. Two or four animals are required to pull the chariot, depending on the design; it's tradition that horses be used, but is not strictly limited to them, as lions and occasionally monsters are utilized as well. There are are two campers at each chariot - a driver and a fighter. Weapons built into the chariot and used by the fighter are allowed. Trickery is also encouraged.
↷ The Chariot Races will be roleplayed at the discretion of the roleplayers. If the Crew sees the Lochness Monster rising from the depths of a chariot, though, I think it's been made fairly clear as to how much trouble that'll cause for you and possibly the entire guild. Fighters and drivers are asked to sign up together and again, spectators may watch the festivities.
↷ To avoid confusion, be sure to read posts thoroughly if you are participating, and if you have a question, feel free to shoot the specific user a PM. This will avoid something important being missed that could effect your and other characters. A posting limit with also be made after sign ups have closed, which will be explained in the roleplaying thread for the game. If individual conflicts between characters arise, members are asked to discuss their outcomes in OOC.

Mock Naval Battles ! ↷ Naval Battles take place in the Coliseum. The ships are constructed solely by campers, although not just by those competing in a battle. The goal is to either overtake or sink the opponent's ship and have all crew members surrender while protecting your own ship and crew.
↷ For the Naval Battles, the Coliseum floods with enough water to keep two medium-size warships afloat. These ships can be occupied by crews of four to twelve, depending on the size and overall expertise of the participating campers. These ships may be equipped with a variety of weapons, and the crew may be utilize their godly powers as well. A ship must either be damaged so thoroughly that it sinks or it is overrun by the opposing ship, and the Captain of the ship must surrender using a white flag for there to be a winner. Even if all other members of the crew surrender, the game is not over until the Captain does as well. The safety of spectators is not guaranteed due to the range and accuracy of weapons on the ships, neither can it be assured you will not get soaked with water.
↷ Again, the mock Naval Battles will be roleplayed at the discretion of the users, although it is suggested that users playing the Captains discuss the overall outcome of the battle beforehand. Godmodding is prohibited and members doing so will be punished.
↷ To avoid later confusion and conflict, be sure to read posts thoroughly if you are participating. Don't be afraid to send PMs to specific users or the Crew if you have any questions. This will avoid something important being missed that could effect your and other characters. A posting limit with be instated after sign ups have closed for those participating in the battles, which will be explained in the roleplaying thread for the game. Spectators can post as much as they wish. If individual conflicts between characters arise, members are asked to discuss their outcomes in OOC.
