The Balsam Restaurant is a restaurant located in the famous tourist spot, Balsam Village. Similar to the rest of the buildings in the village, the Balsam Restaurant is influenced by Oriental architecture. The whole building is intricately designed with the gigantic head of a golden Dragon on its blue roof. The restaurant and its yard are surrounded by a blue fence with an arch in the front of the shop. In the front of the restaurant, a statue of a pink frog can be seen sitting on top of a rock, carrying an umbrella. A red sliding door serves as the entrance to the restaurant with two windows on either side of it. The name of the shop, written in a different language, can be seen on a signboard on the base of its roof. A bar is situated in front of the entrance of the shop with multiple wooden stools surrounding it. Inside the bar, a fireplace can be seen with multiple shelves hanging from the wall, topped with different statues and beverages. Multiple tables can also be seen lined up beside the walls of the restaurant.

Lee Jo kicked his feet up in his chair as he sat in the restaurant. His belt was slightly loosened as he sat alone at his table. Trays of food were placed in different spots on the table cloth. Some even went so far as to drip stains without Lee Jo's awareness. Lee never saw himself as a glutton as he was raised in an overly intense, strict environment but he couldn't ignore the facts as he looked over the disheveled plates and silverware on the table. Lee Jo hadn't been on any missions yet but he wasn't quite ready to worry about that yet as he'd only just recently become a mage for hire.

Lee Jo looked around the empty restaurant and sighed relief. There wasn't a single person around to see him in such a peaceful state. Lee Jo liked to show off his energy when there was a supply of people around to see him. He didn't want to be remembered as someone boring and easily forgettable like most of the people in his family and their dynasty. It wasn't a wonder that Lee Jo's family name didn't reach Magnolia as it was set for those of the Martial Magical Art, an area of expertise Lee Jo was almost immersed in by force. Jo pulled a toothpick from his pocket and began to pick away as he picked at his memories. He'd been getting bored with what he had been doing at Mermaid Heel and was glad to be rid of the drawl as he'd been the only member. No one could enjoy a guild that didn't do anything. Jo was tempted to do some small missions as, though he felt he was more than prepared for bigger missions, he felt a foundation for a new reputation was needed.

Lee Jo looked at the clock on the wall of the restaurant and jumped in his seat and heard the clock strike noon, a small and colorful cookoo bird jumped along with him and stuck its tongue out as though taunting Jo for not keeping track of time and letting it slip between his fingers. Jo scoffed as he turned and was about to run out of the restaurant when he suddenly stopped himself and looked at the table. The waiter came to clean up his table and hand him the check when he saw Jo standing. Jo straightened out and saluted the waiter before turning on his heel and dashing away. "Put it on my tab!" he called back as he kicked open the door and was off to continue his magical adventure.
