xxxx The day was utterly beautiful. Rays of blinding sunlight toyed with the girl's delicate features. A soft breeze occasionally brushed against blonde strands. Participating in the mass of bodies shuffling one way, Evelien was engulfed in the crowded street. Holding tightly on her purse, and taking a small cautious measure, in case she so happened to be near a thief. Strangers on either sides of the blonde seem to not take notice of her, simply not caring of her existence, but of themselves and for the same reason why she was holding onto her purse.
xxxx On Evelien's far left, she could hear a voice belonging to a small boy, trying desperately to sell chewing gum. Another voice next to the small boy's was hard and aged by stress with a strong accent, trying to sell the tourists energy drinks. On her right were some outdoor shops fill with raw goods such as meat, fish, and fresh fruit. A man, appearing to be at least in his forties, yelling out in a language she could not understand.
xxxx"Excuse me - sorry ... Excuse me - sorry." Her tone was quiet, murmuring and directing her words to the persons she so abruptly cut off to make her way off from the street to a herb shop with a sign written in a language she could not read. Walking pass the young Chinese boy with scruffy uncombed hair selling chewing gum for next to nothing, Evelien handed him a five dollar bill with a friendly smile warping her features, refusing the packets of gum in exchange, before making her way down a few doors and into her favorite herb shop.
xxxx"Nǐ hǎo!" Greeting an elderly woman, as Evelien walked in, behind a wooden counter located at the back of the small room. She knew her Chinese wasn't the greatest, and hello was the only word she could speak correctly. Though, she made a gestured towards the elderly woman, bowing as a sign of respect as the woman nodded with a small smile in return. The shop was covered with exotic plants, some dried and others fresh, giving off a scent she could not recognize. There were roots and leaves stored all over, without a tag or a labeled price. She took off her sunglasses and placed them in her purse, letting her ocean shaded eyes adjust to the low lighting. Candles were the only resource of light, giving off almost an eerie, but peaceful, vibe; save for the spillage of natural light through the front door's creases and the blind's corners which covered the glass panels.

"Xièxiè."
Yuri spoke these words with a quick bow before walking off with his bag of Chinese goodies. The words sounded strange coming from him, especially with his Russian accent. Still, it was common courtesy to say thank you and with it being Chinatown and all, it only made sense to say it in Chinese. But that aside, the young man continued on his way down the street, a small smile on his face. But if one were to take a look around, they would see that some were staring at Yuri because of the small critter on his head. It was Chi Chi and the tiny chick was hopping up and down in excitement for what the male had bought. "Calm down. You'll get it soon, okay?" he said, letting his gaze flit up to his friend.
"Bee~!" Chi Chi cooed. To this, Yuri let out a small laugh and quickened his pace a little until he noticed a small herb shop. It looked like a nice place to take a little break, so he stopped for a moment to consult Chi Chi. "Want to take a look?" he asked. "Bee, bee!" he replied. Taking that as a yes, Yuri headed inside and upon entering he noticed a familiar blonde already there.
"Evelien? What a surprise."
"Think before you act."

xxxx Swiftly turning in the direction of the familiar Russian voice which composed words for her, Evelien's gaze fell on familiar features."Oh, hello Yuir. I didn't expect to see you here." Her tone was casual. Although his frame was somewhat difficult to point out any details due to the low lighting, those red eyes could be seen a mile away in darkness.
xxxx The girl's gaze wandered upward, taking notice to the chick on his head, the one he calls Chi Chi, appearing happy as can be. "I'm assuming Chi Chi was the one who persuaded you to come in?" Evelien commented, giving out a small giggle.
xxxx Shifting her gaze from her company to the greenery hanging from small cut pieces of string in aged wooden shelves, Evelien said: "There isn't a lot of edible herbs here, if that was what Chi wanted. Chi might be able to eat some that are used for fragrance, but I don't think they'll taste like they smell." Her tone sounded matter-of-fact. She could recommend some greenery used for medical reasons, but she rather save it for those who need it.

Yuri let out a small chuckle after hearing Evelien's words, before lifting a hand and gently scratching the top of Chi Chi's head with his finger. "You must know what animals think, because I'm pretty sure it's the smell that caused him to want to come in. Myself on the other hand, just wanted to check the place out." he spoke, while his friend let out a sort of sigh. It was then that Chi Chi hopped off his head and flew towards the blonde, before landing on top of her head. "Bee~" he cooed cheerily, greeting Evelien. To this, Yuri smile in amusement before turning his attention to her.
"But enough about me. What brings you here?" he asked, taking a look around the shop. The place was quaint, just the way he liked it. Sure, Yuri was born into a well-off family, but he preferred things simple and this place was right up his alley. "Haven't been causing any trouble, have you?" the Justice leader joked.
"Think before you act."

xxxx Feeling light pressure on top of her scalp, Evelien was careful enough not to make any sudden movements. "Hey cutie." She spoke softly, greeting the small rounded bird. Her gaze traveled around the small, enclosed room, figuring out where to start first. Upon hearing Yuri's question as to why she was here, Evelien strolled over to the shelf containing plants the size of her hand in plastic pots. Her rosy lips thinned and scrunched to the side, trying to make up her mind on exactly what she wants. That is what she gets for coming here without a plan; a list would have been helpful, as well. "I'm actually not quite sure." Her tone was low, with hints of confusion. Turning her figure, she faced Yuri once more before scanning the opposing wall."You see, there's this - " She stopped. Staring at a plant that seemed to be black with green smudges, across the room. Speed-walking towards the herb, she proceeded to pull out her smartphone from her purse. As she unlocked her phone, a photo of a similar plant instantly popped up. Expect the herb in the photo was a dark violet. Narrowed eyes looked back and forth from the phone to the plant. Judging the herb in the photo and the physical appearance of the herb in front of her, minutes passed before she made up her mind. "I found it!" She cheered. Holding up the black shaded plant as if it were a trophy. Hurrying back to Yuri, she chanted: "This herb, right here, is the solution to all of my problems! " She held the the herb in front of her leader's face. "I've been doing some research, and it's to be said that if I grind this beauty," referring to the plant, "up and sprinkle it on everything I eat, I won't gain a pound! So I can eat whatever I want and still keep this rockin' bod." She winked at Yuri as she finished her sentence.
xxxx Turning her back on him, she went to the aged counter and payed for the plant. The total came out to be about $120, and Evelien didn't hesitate when giving the old woman the exact right amount of cash. While the cashier placed the herb in a paper bag, the blonde settled her smartphone and wallet back into her purse. Before leaving, she gave the old woman another bow.
xxxx Walking towards Yuri, she finally answered his jocular question. "Depends on your idea of trouble." She commented, giving him a sly smile before confessing: "A couple of days ago, I might have been involved in shaming this one gentleman and there could be a chance that what happened might have ruined his life. " Her steps passed him, she continued. "Buuut, " she huffed, as she stopped, looking over her shoulder. "It's not like anyone can prove anything. Plus, he deserved it." With that, she straightened her neck and began to move towards the door. Using her fingers, she lifted up a corner of the blind on the door, peering through the glass panel. "Anywho, I'm going freerunning later at sunset somewhere in Time Square. " She said, still looking outside. Dropping the blind, her gaze went over to her company. "Care to join me?" She asked, with a cunning smile spread across her features.

Chi Chi took into interest with Evelien's reaction to the plant that she was carefully studying. But upon her sudden excitement to it apparently being the exact thing she was looking for, the small bird couldn't help but jump up in surprise. But landing back on the girl's head, he lowered gaze to take a look at her expression and could just see the glimmer in Evelien's eye and Chi Chi's curiosity rose even more, causing him to keep his place on the top of her head. Yuri on the other hand let out a laugh at the blonde's words and watched as she made a bee-line for the counter to pay for the plant.
"I see, I see. But with your aptitude for running about, I don't see the need for it, but whatever makes you happy, Evelien."
He spoke, smiling in amusement at the young woman's antics. But as Yuri continued to listen to the rest of her story, his own interest peaked when she commented on shaming some guy and to this, he laughed once more. "I'm sure he did deserve it." he said, following Evelien to the door. "And yes, I'd love to join you. It's about time I stretched out my legs." the male added, popping his neck before adjusting the grip on his bag of goodies.
"I'm all in."

xxxx Smirking at what she wanted to hear, Evelien's blue shaded eyes had this look upon them under the calmness they held. Not of animosity or overwhelming affection, but it was the sort of look that could cause chills running down one's spine. Of course, it wasn't easy to unmask, the secret mischievous allowed the imagination of other's to run wild, to wonder if the cause of the impish look would cause them harm, or harm to the ones they love.
xxxx "Oh, how splendid!" She cheered, clasping her hands together with the paper bag between them, making a harsh wrinkling noise. "We're going to have so much fun!" Her tone was that of musical, but settle.
xxxx Turning her figure around, forcing her back to face her leader, her steps traveled towards the door of the herb shop. Without shifting her scalp to rest blue eyes on the snow haired male, she directed her soothing voice to him. "You know where to find me." Using her free hand to open the aged door, her body was halfway through before she ceased, looking at Yuri. "Oh, and love?" A small, sly smile formed upon her features as she composed luscious words. "Don't be late." With that, she was gone; disappearing into the crowd like a shadow.

By this time Chi Chi had made his way back to Yuri's shoulder, before the two listened to Evelien's words. The male nodded once as a smile graced his lips and he placed a hand on hip. "I'm sure we will. You always seem to know how to have a good time." he spoke, while Chi Chi let out a small chirp of agreement. But just as Yuri watched Evelien head out, she suddenly stopped and he could recognize that sly grin on her face anywhere and in turn his own smile grew.
"Of course not, my dear."
And with those final parting words, Evelien had slipped away and off into the crowd. It was then that Yuri took his own leave and with a quick goodbye to the shop owner, he and his tiny friend dove into the crowd themselves.
