Nearby certain fluffy guardian cat had found a scent of youma. The youma was heading towards the apartment area which actually made the guardian cat worried as she had seen children on that area before. Cora had always cared a lot of children, those innocents human beings, and wanted nothing but the best for them. Surely living with Ainsley had helped those feelings to grow and now that she had a bit more power she wanted to help them survive in this chaotic world as much she could. Which also meant dealing with youma, possibly fighting them and risking herself of being eaten. Hnngh, why she just couldn't cuddle all youma into nice, cute creatures? Life was so unfair.
Finally, she had the youma she had been tracking of in her sight. It was a black, large, bird-like youma. The youma seemed to be furious, flapping it's wings like a maniac and making loud screams that really hurt Cora's sensitive feline ears. It wasn't the most hideous youma but it still looked pretty nasty.
However, what really mattered was the youma seemed to be after a small child. Cora just couldn't accept that, no matter how much she hated dealing with youma. "I'm strong, I'm strong, I'm very strong," she whispered silently, squeezed her eyes shut and tried to gather courage from somewhere.
And then she jumped. Suddenly, there was a cat (who looked like a big cream-colored furball) between the youma and Perenna. The cat was hissing and waving her paws wildly and blindly towards the youma's direction. Cora kept her eyes tightly closed and didn't open them for a moment. She didn't see the bird youma dodging the 'attack', taking flight and landing on a branch of a nearby tree where from it was now watching the panicking guardian cat and tilting it's head.
When Cora finally carefully peeked with one eye to what she was againgst, she didn't saw the youma anywhere. Disbelieving her luck, she stopped swatting air and took another look to her surroundings. Did she scare it away? Did she really scare the youma away?
Excited, feline like squeal escaped from her mouth before she turned to look the child she 'rescued'. Holding her head and tail proudly high, she trotted by side of Perenna and nudged her ankles, almost like saying:
Did you see how brave I was? Did you see? I scared the monster away!
