Recently I sat down and explained a story idea I had to a friend. After I was done explaining it to him the first time I had to do so again, and then a third time before he finally gave up trying to understand.
His finally comment was "sounds like the story is too complicated for you even. I honestly think you try to put too much in your stories"
I usually have a main main character for anything I write but the story is usually told from the point of view of 2-5 different characters through out the story. Each has a back story that will somehow directly effect them in the future. My friend tells me I try to make my stories to complex and that I try to make to many plot twist. But truthfully I don't try for it to happen. I just start writing and that's how it ends up.
I know this is all really vague and I probably explain properly. It's just I'm currently writing out an outline for a novel I'm going to try to type up during Camp Nano and I don't know if I'm going overboard with it or not. So if anyone wants to help me figure it out could you please post in here and I'll post the idea I'm working on.
T-T I hope I'm not overdoing it again.
