After a couple friends were recently hacked, I realized not many people know about the IP Verification feature or have forgotten about it. It makes it so that Gaia only recognizes your IP address and any IP address you want it to.

You go to Account Preferences, and in the security panel, IP Verification is an option. When you check the IP Verification box, you'll get an e-mail asking if you want to use IP Verification. The e-mail will have a link in it in which you click to turn IP Verification on. After that, you're all set! Now no one can get into your account from a different IP address even if they know all of your information.

And if you try to log in from a different IP, say from the Gaia on the Go app from your phone, it'll send an e-mail to you, letting you know a different IP is trying to get into your account. It will display the IP and if it's one you use, just confirm it's an okay address.

Just trying to keep the rest of you safe from potential hackings. =)

This thread will also be accompanied by an announcement, given that more people will see the reminder that way.
