Guild Rules

1) No discrimination. This guild accepts all people, regardless of religion or nationality or anything else of the sort. Penalty: Banned from the guild for 1 week

2) Respect your fellow guild members. Just because someone doesn't have the same views as you, or what they stand for is against what you were taught, doesn't give you the right to ridicule them. Penalty: Complete removal from the guild with no chance of being allowed to join again

3) Semi-lit or lazy lit REQUIRED. This means no usage of -, *, or ~ to show action and "" to show speech. Type as if you were making a book; full sentences and the like. This is not required in OoC chats and such. Penalty: Three warnings will be followed by a 5 day suspension from the guild, but further ignorance will result in permanent removal until said person has improved

4) Be active. Posting at least twice a day, or three times a week, would be nice. Penalty: One warning followed by temporary or permanent ownership transfer/deletion of the character after 2 weeks of inactivity and NO explanation of inactivity

5) Absolutely NO godmodding. Your characters are not gods on Shangri'La, regardless of who they are in their world. They ARE NOT invincible or all mighty! Penalty: Varies on severity of godmodding

6) NO cybering! Romance is encouraged, and same-sex couples are of course welcome here. However, if things start to get steamy, time skip. Cybering is against Gaia's Terms of Service. I can't stop you from using the PMs, but I do discourage it. Penalty: Instant removal of the guild upon gathering proof

Role Play Rules

1) Characters can be canons from games or animes, or originals AS LONG AS they are from a game or anime. Characters from original worlds must be approved or disapproved by the Captain before being posted. No avis, but Gaia OCs are more than welcome as long as there is a drawn picture of your OC. Penalty: None, really, but I reserve the right to point out anything that must be fixed before character can be posted in the role play
-This also means that if an character is from a different time in the anime/game, they're welcome. This is only referring to originals. Canons cannot arrive before or during their journeys.

2) All characters will begin in a town or other Safe Location, though it doesn't have to be from their world. Penalty: Posts made in Battle Locations without the character having awoken in a Safe Location will be deleted and player will be advised to return to the rules for guidance

3) Friends, enemies, and even frienemies will be made and fights will break out between them. However, there will be no killing of other characters without permission. Penalty: This is punishable with a 2 day suspension and a warning upon being welcomed back

4) Creatures such as Pokémon or Digimon or whatever are able to bond and join characters of other worlds as they would humans of their own worlds. The clashing of these worlds has allowed such opportunities. However, the proper devices must be obtained by the characters first [i.e. Pokéballs, Digivices, etc.] Penalty: There is none, but know that without the proper devices means that such creatures cannot be caught or properly bonded with

5) Regarding rule 5, if said creatures come from an original world created by a fellow role player, be sure to ask how the capture or bonding of these creatures occur if that information isn't available in threads regarding such world. Penalty: The decision to ignore this and make up a method is considered disrespecting a fellow member, and is punished with the same punishment

6) Note that characters can only have as many creature companions as the creatures' canon allows. For instance, a character can have as many Pokémon as you want, but can only have six on them at a time. On the other hand, if the canon world only allows for one creature companion (such as Digimon or Persona), then characters can only have one. The only exception to that is a canon character who does have more than the norm. Penalty: You will be redirected to the rules.

7) There can be alternate realities to canon universes, but only one version of a character is allowed. This is mostly referring to characters originating from other role plays based on media, but we'll be lenient since parallel universes are a big thing. Just make sure to make note of what role play the character comes from originally. Or, you can tell me and I'll add it to the home page as a featured role play. Feel free to provide a link or don't. Penalty: Eh....There really isn't one.
