Hello everypony, I'm here to talk about some of the rules in our guild! Why am I a pony? Well, first of all, I'm Watcher Pony, the admin around here. Feel free to ask me anything. Now, lets go through the rules of the guild, shall we?
Firstly, in order to join into a roleplay, you need to create pony characters in the "Pony Profiles" thread. Only thosethat have been accepted in will be allowed to participate in roleplays.
On the different areas of the forum, you can find different styles of roleplays, the details will be explained in each section. The general rule is that you can join any roleplay, as long as your pony's appearance makes sense. Some roleplay leaders (original author) might set different rules, in which case these need to be set in the roleplay's very first post. If you're not sure about appearing in a roleplay, just send a pm to the roleplay leader, socializing is good!
Activity in this guild is required. We prefer not having anyone around that never does anything. If you show no activity for one week, you will receive a warning. If you show no sign of any life for two weeks, you will receive a punishment, which can be a demotion, or getting kicked from the guild. You are allowed back if you want to join again after getting kicked, but if it happens again you will be banned. If you know you can't post for some time, please leave a message about this in the "Absence" thread, if possible a date of return would be great.
With activity, we don't mean just post once a week, as this will show us you lack enthousiasm. The Captain and Vice Captains will determine if this is the case and give a warning, before taking action on this.
If you want to climb the ranks however, you will need to be proactive, and really show your spirit! Crew rank has some benefits over members, in that they can access a new area, and can claim one canon background character if they so wish. Vice captain gets even more benefits, as described below you will be allowed to use one semi-godmod OC, and can use a main canon character (Mane 6, alicorns, Discord). Note that, if most of the leading staff agrees that you don't play the pony well, you will be given a warning and it might be taken away. Refer to the canon pony thread for an overview of claimed ponies.
If a person that owns a canon character doesn't respond or doesn't want to participate in your roleplay, you may assign the canon pony in question to anyone participating.
If a canon pony is unclaimed, you may assign it to anyone attending your roleplay for the specific roleplay.
The Special Event's area is meant for those that have proven to be members with proper roleplaying skills, and of course loyalty. These "event roleplays" will allow the usage of characters far greater than those allowed in normal roleplays, but are expected to have a plot thought out ahead of time.
Godmod ponies are not allowed. What makes a pony godmod? Simply put, the pony's powers aren't close to those of Celestia, Luna, Chrysalis or Discord. Only the captain and vice captains are allowed one OC with semi-godmod powers, but they still need to be less powerful than the afore mentioned ponies and have limitations to their personality. Special powers may be allowed depending on the specifics of said powers. If you're not sure if your pony is allowed or not, send the captain or any of the vice captains a message or leave a request for me to judge it.
Any non-standard pony (earth ponies, pegasus, unicorns) needs to be approved first. Alicorns and Dragonequus are very restricted, but don't be afraid to send in requests for others kinds. They won't be declined unless their a serious problem!
Of course, there is also the issue of roleplay hijacking, where you attempt to shift the main focus of a roleplay away from what it originally was. Imagine a roleplay focused on Ponyville going to Canterlot and staying there. Roleplay hijacking is very frowned upon, and the author of the roleplay is allowed to notify you or the admin if it happens. If you have a main focus of your own, think about starting your own roleplay instead.
