Major Gods
Children of Zeus
-If using a metal weapon without a wooden handle (which would rule out things like spears and some halberds), they can charge it electrically to shock, paralyze, or numb their opponent in the area they stab them, regardless of whether it is an enchanted weapon or not.
-Produce electrical shocks by touch, and in certain conditions, can electrocute people with them.
-Can survive at great heights, and 'hover' or 'fly' by using storm winds to hold them in the air. It would be much harder for them to fly if carrying a person, and would tire them out more quickly (and by tire out, I mean they would either drop their passenger or else they would both drop out of the air).
-Can create small, temporary thunderstorms over someone's head. Given the blessing of their father, they can summon thunderstorms. Large ones.
-Aren't completely effected by being electrocuted. Can actually send the electricity back at people; though to get the charge they need to be electrocuted first. This can easily be accomplished by calling down lightning.
Children of Hades
-Can walk through Shadows, like Nico does in the book. (Though, the skill would have to develop. They can't just shadow-step to L.A the first time they try, and must be tired after they do it.)
-Can summon Skeletal warriors, though there is a maximum of 1-4 at a time, depending on how skilled the character is and how much they've practiced. Skeletal warriors must also be defeatable, not like the ones Atlas summons in book 3. With their father's blessing they can summon more, and stronger ones.
-Can create small globes of darkness. The globe is stationary, however, and cannot be moved once it's made. Stronger kids can create more than one at once.
-They can see in complete darkness without a problem
-Can communicate with the dead and summon specific dead people.
**Hell hounds like them.**
Children of Poseidon
-Can control water (Create sizable waves, pull water to the surface of the ground for drinking, make bubbles to make out in on the bottom of lakes, etc.)
-Can communicate with sea creatures, and horses (both telepathically and out loud).
-Can create small earthquakes
-Can survive in water (Pressure, temperature, breathing underwater) and, if they are strong enough, can extend this ability to other people through touch.
-In water, they can find latitude and longitude, and therefore know exactly where they are at any given moment in time.
-Can heal themselves in the water; minor injuries (Cuts, bruises, etc.) can be healed in fresh or salt water very quickly, but major wounds and injuries (poison, broken bones, gashes, etc.) MUST be healed in salt water (oceans), and it will take a longer amount of time to do so.
**Resistant to being burned.**
Children of Demeter
-Can control and manipulate plant life, and if they are strong enough, they can make plants grow even where they usually wouldn't (I.E, in fire, etc.)
-Can survive most poisons and toxins, and can concoct them with great skill.
-No matter where they are in the wilderness, they can sense and find edible plants, etc.
- Can kind of 'talk' to plants (meaning sense what they need, want, etc., but no sophisticated conversations).
- Are natural cooks.
**Best With Nature**
Children of Ares
-Stronger and more durable than regular half-bloods, and are skilled at wrestling and boxing naturally.
-Generally make people around them angry and on edge, not relaxed; though this is not as strong as their fathers' and can be ignored.
-With the blessing of Ares they can receive a powerful 'battle aura' which amplifies their natural aura of anger, and adds to their own fighting abilities.
-When they're angry, they kind of go into a barbarian like berzerker rage, and are nearly unstoppable. Like a tank. An angry tank.
**Anger Issues**
Children of Athena
-Once they read something, they never forget it. They can also read exceptionally well, and learn really fast. Are able to spontaneously form plans, which work 99% of the time.
In other words, they are crazy smart.
- When a fight is justified by a reasonable cause (for example, someone punched them in the face) they fight better and with the Blessing of Athena, they can almost predict what their opponent will do, and form a strategy to defeat them.
-Can easily make decisions, and succeed in most competitions.
** Spiders hate them.**
Children of Apollo
-Amazing archers; are unrivaled, except by maybe Artemis' hunters.
-Some get flashes of prophecy (must apply) but all, with the blessing of Apollo they can see a few seconds into the future in a fight or tight situation.
-Bright lights don't really affect them, and they do not get sun burnt. Also, they can tell the time without a watch or sundial, just by looking at the position of the sun. Can control light, to some extent (making bright flashes, temporarily blinding people, etc.)
-Are human lie detectors - with their father as the god of Truth, it is impossible to lie directly to a Child of Apollo. Lying around them is possible, and twisting your words is possible; but telling them the pen is red when it is in fact blue is not going to work, and they will know.
-Heal quicker than other half-bloods.
-Able to Curse others with Rhymed Speech
**Good musicians.**
Children of Hephaestus
-Some can manipulate and create fire. In addition to summoning flames, they can call forth small spurts of magma from the earth beneath them. (Must Apply)
-They do not burn easily, and can even survive in Magma for short amounts of time.
-Can craft most weapons, and with the Blessing of their Father they can craft magic/godly weapons.
-Given the proper materials, their crafting skills are unmatched. For example: with a few pipe cleaners, a paper clip, and pocket lint, they can create a miniature toy helicopter that can fly, for a few moments. This ability MUST be used realistically.
-Instinctively Find and Use Machinery.
Children of Aphrodite
-Are never really ugly, even while horrifically maimed. They have a sort of 'aura' around them that makes them alluring. People can't help but be attracted to them; for looks, however. This does nothing for their personality, though they are good at being charismatic.
-Can talk to small birds, like pigeons and robins, but especially doves.
-If they so choose, they can attract members of the opposite sex, and sometimes those of the same sex as well, and make them infatuated with them for a little while. (Depending on how strong their will is, they can make this five minutes, ten, or maybe an hour.) With their mother's blessing, they can also make people 'love' other people.
-Some caan 'charm speak' other people/creatures (must apply). Charm Speaking is a strong ability, and not all Aphrodite campers have it. It's effectiveness depends on the will and strength of mind of the person it's being used on, and can be shaken off.
**Speak Fluent French**
Children of Hermes
-Extremely fast, and good runners.
-On any given road or pathway, they can never get lost. Kind of like how children of Poseidon know where they are on the ocean, children of Hermes know exactly where they are as long as it is considered a road.
This does not work in the middle of a farmer's field, for example.
-Fast reflexes, good at lying, moving silently, and pick-pocketing. Sort of the 'rogues' of camp, they are also Jacks of all Trades. Good at everything, but master of none.
-Can speak in tongues, and know many languages.
Children of Dionysus
-Have a limited control of certain plant life, specifically anything on a vine. Can make them grow wherever it is naturally possible.
-They never really get drunk, and are very hard to poison. A high constitution.
-Some Dionysus campers have the ability to induce insanity; and, on the other hand, they can also reduce it. Like Charmspeaking, it is a rare ability - however, with the Blessing of their father, all Dionysus children can make people go completely crazy. So long as they have the blessing, of course.
-They are in control of cats, mainly cheetahs.
**Satyrs like them.**
