What are you: The Guardian of Memories

How did you come to be: Toothiana was born to a race of beautiful warriors dubbed the sisters of flight. Long before her, a slave named haroom had saved the life of one of the sisters during a hunt with his maharaja, or master, taking a ruby arrow to the chest. His master had intended on hunting one of the girls prized winged elephants, a guarding of their home in punjam hy loo. The maharajah saw the errors of his ways and tried to save the slave. Haroom was peaceful, loved the nature and beauty of it, and had always wanted to fly. He came up with concept.. Children often dream of flight but forget upon awaking, so he collected baby teeth in hopes that one day he would be able to remember.

The sisters were shocked but compassionate that a human would do such a thing. Rashmi, their most beautiful sister and the target, flew down to the dying man, removed the arrow kissing her fingertips and pressing them to his wound, healing him. And as he woke to take her hand, her wings flaked and vanished.

The sisters commanded the maharajah to Leave behind the teeth, his weapons and his vanity and never return. He agreed, sorrowful over his friend, yet became such a simple man he turned into a simple monkey. An he left, never to return.

Haroom and rashmi were wed and soon bore a child, fearless and kind, naming her toothiana. She was born human and was raised on the outskirts of a mortal village by her parents. But after losing her last baby tooth at 12 she sprouted great emerald wings and bodily feathers, resembling the appearance of a great bird. She made friends with the wind and nature, and picked fruit from high trees for the villages children. But the adults only wished to prize her or kill her, thinking she was an evil spirit. Tooth fled with her parents as the villagers set up a cage, mad with greed. Her mother and father were much smarter then the hunters and with the aid of the defiant children escaped them for weeks on end. Though one night her parents were captured and said if toothiana did not become theirs, they would be murdered at dawn. She fought to reach her parents and save them but had not the strength to lift them. Her mother sent her away with a small pouch and as she fled they were killed.

For a full day she sat in a high tree, aching and grieving over her loss, her life suddenly empty and without purpose. She then recalled the ruby box given and opened it. Inside was a note;

" Our Dearest Girl,

These are the teeth of your childhood. If you have them under your pillow in your sleep, or if you hold them tightly, you will remember that which you need--a memory of happy days, or of deepest hopes, or even of us in better days.

But one tooth is not yours. It's a tooth of amazing power, and from what being it comes from, we did not know,

Use it only in times of great danger or need."

Send slept with the teeth under her pillow, growing up in the jungle, hating her wings and her memories. She belonged no where. And as the children grew in the village she collected their teeth in hopes that she could help them remember.

What is your intent: To bring hope to the children, restoring their faith in the Guardians and hopes of new beginnings. One night while delivering a treasure to a child she was attacked by a hunter, though before she could raise her sword she was put in a steel cage. After days of travel the hunters arrived at the sisters palace, offering toothiana for riches. It was then that she opened the box and used the special tooth.

Then a chorus of voices, lovely but sharp, rang out all around. 'Why cage our child? Where be her mother and father? What trick of men do you bring us? What do you seek from us?'

The Hunter took off his cloak for the first time. He was no man whatsoever, but a tall monkey. He declared he was once a maharaja but now stood as the king of monkeys. Then all the helpers withdrew their clothes, revealing them all to be monkeys. The Monkey King also declared that Toothiana's parents were dead, by his doing, and that he sought revenge for being turned into a monkey. He then withdrew a bow and arrow, aiming it straight at Toothiana's heart.

Frightened, toothiana raised the box, finding a photo of her mother and father. And the cage was suddenly gone. She was suddenly surrounded by small hummingbird like creatures, that resembled her mother. These fairies attacked the hunters and toothiana lifted the monkey king by the throat. But released him and left him alone, allowing the animals of the jungle to kill him.

It was then that she heard the moon calling her name. The sisters explained that if she died they all died, so he became their queen and the guardian of children's memories.

Description: Tooth is a part human part hummingbird hybrid. She has tan skin and violet eyes. Instead of hair, she has feathers that make a curved upward style. Instead of clothes, her entire body seems to be covered in mini feathers. Around her wrists and ankles there seem to be golden lines that appear to look like golden bracelets and golden anklets, as well as gold feathers on either side of her head for earrings. Tooth also has long, drapery feathers that start at her waist line and end at her knees. They give the appearance of a skirt or dress.

Tooth is a sweet, passionate, elegant, graceful, fearless, courageous, motherly, and fierce fighter to the guardians, showing no restraint in battle yet showing the most compassion out of the knit group. She adores her friends, fairies and the children of the world, and has an intense infatuation with Jack Frost. She loves her duty and does what she does with unimaginable passion.

Powers: not only can tooth fly, but she has the ability to teleport and split herself into smaller copies.
She is skilled in swordsmanship, and when unarmed her wings are sharp as blades and used to cut down her enemies with ease. She as well is a skilled linguist, able to speak all languages.
