I hadn't been saying much anymore. I get that people don't really like to talk to me or feel like really there and that is fine, I normally don't say much to others either, but there is something I wanted to get off my chest still.

So a lot has been happening. My dad told me that the furlough is going to happen in May (they aren't even trying to stop it) and when it does, we might be in serious financial trouble and there is a chance we could lose our house. I am really scare because I don't know what is going to happen and that worries me and don't know how to stop thinking about it. Maybe we will be alright, just a bit in a tight spot for awhile. We cancelled a lot of things, trying to push my doctor appointments back and lower the cost of some things.

It's not right. There is a lot of unnecessary stuff that the government could cancels or cut, but instead, they rather cut the pay of people that worked for the government, hard working people who hadn't gotten pay raise in years yet have costs going up.

I don't know what I would accomplish, but I figured it might help me feel just getting it off my chest.

First off, take a deep breath. Take a few slow large ones.

Now, being a government worker, it is very very likely, especially if your dad has had the job for a long while, that there is a good retirement fidelity plan that he has been putting part of his checks into. Even if he just has a basic savings account, there should be something for your family to fall back on in rough times.

That isn't to say that you'll be right as rain immediately, you'll still have a bit of a rough spot. But your parents should be able to keep the house and electricity.

Honestly though, even with no planning and saving done, you'll still be alright. You'll have to make do without many things for a bit, but it's nothing that will be greatly missed, and your family might even become a bit closer.

Twenty dollars a week groceries is hard as hell, but it is DOABLE. And while beans and carrots isn't the greatest meal plan in the world, no one goes hungry on it.

Hell, I've actually done better than that for twenty a week.

My advice, be there for your dad, expect that there will be rough times ahead, and let us know if you need anything.

It won't last for very long. Promise.

I hope it doesn't last long, I am just waiting for the news (supposed to happen being April and May, I think May. We are just preparing. Last time my dad said this happened, it only lasted for two weeks but this time it is supposed to be 16 weeks, which is one day off every week or every other week without pay). So far we cancelled a lot of stuff and lowered some bills. The only thing that I hadn't cancelled is dance class, so life hasn't changed much yet, besides being even more boring here. I don't like beans, so I won't eat that (always been a picky eater), but I am sure I can figure something out.

I am not really close to my family or anyone really and not sure I really want to be. I tried being a people person, but it never really worked out well and I am used to doing things by myself now (I just been preoccupying myself by playing sims 3 when not studying for my permit or practicing dance). We might be able to rent this house and find a cheaper rental home in the next town over which will be better for all of us.
