I'm usually a paitent person.
I've done multiple tuna runs on my main which last usually well over 5 hours. I always try to kindly instruct newbs about how to buff, what rings to get, even how to use rage. I almost never rage quit, and when I do, it's when there's no one sane in the crew.

But there are some things I can't stand:
1. People who try to DMS when they're under 10.0, but insisting that it is possible.
2. People who think that only having a few buffs at r4 is fine.
3. People who believe it is the aggro's responsibility to assign.
4. People who blame the aggro for them dying, when it's usually their own fault for sitting or not r4ing a buff.
5. People who don't follow directions.

I'm sorry. I had to vent. Had two terribly new crews today who did all of the above.
Just make this your list of things not to do in DMS.

Oh no, I completely agree. I'm compelled to have some additions to what I personally can't stand either.

My list as well:
- When a leader assigns a crew less than 10.6, no aggros, and deems it possible to speed.
- When a crew is completely scattered in attempting to kill, and are not agreeing to go after one single mob.

When i go in a reg crew ppl say the leader ALWAYS has to assign. Not all do though. Or when i invite a friend for SPEED i even said SPEED in meebo. Turn sout he was a cl 10 and his friend was CL 10,1, when i saw that i was like .......gtg......

Another one:
When people complain about how they have to find Kamila. And they're 10.
(Gaia should fix that quest so theres more quests before being assigned to find Kam. Even the 50 minions is better than having the Kam one for months.)

And then at the end of a 1.5 hour speed, the crew decides, "Hey, lets turn this into tuna!"
Me: "... RIGHT. Yeah, well, I gotta go ... uh... eat food ... Good Luck."

I'm still a bit of a newb at 10.9 at times but i have my own piece or two to add of no-no's... the number one being:

1. When buffs start dropping and aggro AND backup start telling people to buff and they dont... or when they say they need rage first..

People.. an r1 buff when you dont have rage is alot better then no buff at all.. Nari and I had a pretty bad crew this morning when they didnt do as requested and almost got us killed >_>

2. When tank/aggro is getting mobbed and is getting to hit hard, and insist on ignoring it and attacking a monster rather then lending a bandage, then when aggro dies, blame that person for a team wipe.

If the tank/aggro is getting too much mobs and damage for his/her heals to take effects, then he/she is supposed to move away anyways.

Plus one person's bandage wont really do much if the monsters are hitting hard.
And there's that probability of that person stealing aggro, which is also more work for the tank itself.

But I don't completely disagree. sometimes the aggro needs help xD
Theres no point of bringing a heal if its not meant to be used (besides raging)

For a better future for dms, thats why you help fix them.
But if they insists, just leave or kick them xD

in my case, i'd have rage quit/kick if they dont listen.

But hey, it was much worse when DMS went public lool
8.0s and 9.0s straight from Bas'ken thought they could sucessfully
complete DMS in less than an hour. Though it was great practice
to build tolerance over it.

I have a Must-Not too tho:
A. Finding a stupid excuse, just to leave a crew,
like: "oh i gtg to school" on a BL run. Because its kinda obvious and if you were, then dont play knowing that dms DOES take awhile and that you dont have time for it, its very inconvinient having to find a member in a middle of a run. Sometimes no one is available and have to forfeit the run. If its like a speed or a reg YM then theres really nothing to make an excuse for. Really, just tell the crew "Hey i dont want to play anymore" or "im not in a mood for this anymore" or maybe even "you guys kinda suck" if they get mad, not your problem.
If you really had to do something, a simple "i have to go, ty for the crew." dont rly need to know your whole life story.

B. Leaving, without leaving buffs,
Just, not cool. IK the assigner should know the buffs, but sometimes the buff assigner leaves, afk, brb etc.
or your assigner is just a big ditz (like me)

C. Leaving a Speed run because theres a 10.0 in a crew,
hey, ive been in a crew with two 10s in the same crew, yet it went through
faster than the full 11+ speed run i had before it. its not cool leaving
before knowing how they do. Some 10.0s are willing to listen and are probably even better than you.

D. Not keeping that adren up,
Youre assigned adren not because its there for a decoration. Serious, if you suck at adrening, the best way to keep it up, since adren does damage too, Use it like its an attack, mix it in with your attack rings. and also, RAGE IT! even r2 is fine. If no rage. just spam adren.
its also fine R4ing it to NF (well it actually depends on the aggro)

D has been definitely one I should have added myself. <: Can't say how many times that annoys me. I'll have to constantly be the idiot saying "Adren on this mob?"

I dont see how its hard to forget. Specially when someone is there

Well no, 1 persons bandage wont help.. but 5 will, and sometimes its even too much for a backup with wish if they get mobbed too hard. Just sayin if your not taking damage and the aggro is, use the bloody bandage to heal him/her.. its better then team wipeout and having to restart
PostPosted: Thu Apr 04, 2013 11:49 pm

xXSweetJazmineXx

Lets break this down in a more understanding way.

Quote:
Well no, 1 persons bandage wont help.. but 5 will,

every single member shouldnt bring a heal, they are only really there to be used for rage.

Quote:
and sometimes its even too much for a backup with wish if they get mobbed too hard.

Like i said.
If the aggro is getting mobbed too much, especially if even the backup cant help, shes supposed to move away and reposition.

Quote:
Just sayin if your not taking damage and the aggro is, use the bloody bandage to heal him/her.

the Aggro's job IS to take the damages while staying alive AND keep the crew safe
If you didnt know, Bandage builds up aggro, (Go test it out in smob or sumthin, if you dont believe me)
Stealing aggro = aggro have to keep you AND herself alive
There are cases where the whole crew (besides aggro)doesnt bring a heal. What then?

Quote:
and insist on ignoring it and attacking a monster

If the crew really want to help the aggro, Kill faster, rage the attacks, keep buffs up, kill one at a time.

Quote:
its better then team wipeout and having to restart

As long as the crew keep the buffs up at R4 and follow the aggro's
instructions. AND that your aggro actually knows what shes doing, There shouldnt be an easy wipeout. &&if someone mapped, shouldnt have to restart.

Idk how even simpler i can explain this xD
If you have anymore arguements after this, then I give up.
If someone else reading this, and i made a mistake, fix it for me pls

gonk Good ones!
A - I usually try to stay, but if I do leave, it's sudden and they have no time to react.
B - That's why I keep a back-up list of buffs. (Windows 7 Sticky Note)
C - Had trouble even beginning to speed since some guys only take 11.4+. Those who takes 10s are probably like me and understand how hard it is to find a crew.
D - twisted If I'm in reg, I always volunteer for adren.
