Toji Okami Toji, wake up! >.< C'mon we need you. The place wasn't overly bustling with hungry customers or deserted with tumbleweeds rolling everywhere. It was perfect and she felt at home upon entering. Knowing exactly what she wanted, Monte really hoped Toji wasn't as starving as his stomach led on. She did have a budget. Choosing their seats, she slid into a booth and hoped the others would also.. quickly. " It's not exactly expensively 5-star, but it's comfortable," she commented and stared out of the window for a moment. Monte picked up a menu that was already set on the table's surface and opened it absentmindedly. " You really have to know before you order. Not because the waiters are impatient, but there's a lot to choose from." And she meant a lot. Most people just stuck with what they knew instead of picking extravagantly.

Following Monte on into the place known as the 'Cosmopolitan Restaurant', Wave looked about as the wolf made her way off to a booth. Not too shabby, but not too formal... A well rounded place, by the look of it. Moving over to the booth, he shifted himself into the seat right beside Monte, not even registering the fact that she might have wanted to sit in this seat particularly by herself. Listening to her statement about the place and ordering, he looked down at one of the other menus, opening it up to take a look at what was offered. And... Monte wasn't kidding. There was a vast number of selections, but... what did he want in particular? As he gazed through the options, though, his eyes almost shimmered as he found something worthwhile.

The young wolf cub picked up a menu, scanning it. Examing the various choices, he grinned as he spotted a likely choice.".........Oh yeah, that'll hit the spot!!"He was looking down at the fish sandwich, large enough to fill his admittedly small frame."That, plus a Root Beer Soda!!" He grinned at his new employer."Thanks for bringing me here, Boss Lady!!"

Toji Okami Aw, I'm sorry for rushing you! It took every morsel of self-control for her not to place her elbows on the table, but she managed well. Her manners had slightly diminshed from her stay in the city. However, Toji's request pulled her out of the small battle immediately. " The name's Monte and you are welcome," she said to him as she looked at his choice. She really needed him to be less formal with the titles and such. A waitress made her way over to their booth with a welcoming smile on her lips and pen and paper in her hands. " What will you all be having today?" the woman asked, setting the pen to begin scribbling away. " A slice of apple pie and hazel nut coffee for me," nodding towards her new employee, she spoke quickly for him," A fish sandwich and.. root beer soda for him and..," her eyes traveled to the hedgehog seated beside her and awaited his response.

Shifting his attention from the menu to the other two, Wave listened softly as they bickered among another, the cub being formal where Monte stayed informal. Hearing the waitress speak up, he looked up to her as his wolf companion stated what she and the cub would have. When it came to his turn, which he assumed from her pause, he simply gave a gentle smile. "I'll have the deluxe chiliburger with a glass of water, thanks," he stated as he closed his menu up, looking back to Monte for a moment before turning his gaze up at the ceiling.

Toji grinned at Monte."Yes, Monte Ma'am!! I'll be sure to call you that!!' His tail wagged.His eyes gleamed as he smelled the good food, and he pushed down his hood to get a better whiff. Unlike usual people, he had two different eye colors. One was a golden color, and the other was icey blue. The blue one had a habit of shining oddly from time to time.When the meal got to the table, he dug in, 'wolfing' down food as if a famine were coming.

For the most part, it seemed that the group was silent as they awaited their food, aside from the cub's exclamation. When their food was finally brought to them, Wave waited until everything was set before them, before his hand went down to pick up his burger. Leaning back in his seat, he brought the food over to his mouth, taking a simple bite and chewed in silence, half watching as the cub tore through his own meal.

Monte let out a sigh, which seemed to be the hundredth one of the day and picked up her fork, trailing it on the surface of the plate. Her attention was set on both of the boys who seemed content with their food. Mentally, she slapped herself on the forehead when the title ma'am came out of his mouth. Well, at least Toji would stop calling her boss. "I suppose that's a little better." she said giving him a small smile that didn't last long. The vibrating in her pocket made her look down at her jeans and she eased the phone out, looking at the caller ID. Without hesitation, Monte declined his call and left her phone on the table. "So, any of you know how to make this less awkward?"

The young wolf cub looks up from his slaughtered meal, grinning as usual."Well, Monte Ma'am, I can juggle, if you wish." He wipes his mouth with the back of his paw."Or we can tell our life stories. That should work, wouldn't it?"

Continuing to eat away at his meal, Wave's attention went to Monte for a moment as she spoke about how the new title Toji had given to her was 'a little better'. Chuckling silently, his eyes happened to catch her pulling her phone out and instantly hanging up. Who could have that been, for her to simply decline the call? He quickly pushed the thought aside, however, when she asked them if they knew how to make this meal less awkward... Turning to look at Toji now, the male chuckled as the cub expressed his opinion. Once he had said what he had, Wave looked back to Monte and stated, "I don't know of anything that would make this less awkward, but... you know what will make it more awkward? The fact that you have two guys following you around places. That's sure to raise up some questions from people you know." In truth, he meant that as a tease, but he wanted to see her reaction anyway.

Juggle? Monte's eyes narrowed at his suggestion and darted around the room they were in. It was somewhat filled with people who were, like them, dining innocently to themselves and she really didn't want any eyes on their booth. And life stories seemed kind of.. personal. Oh, that was the point wasn't it? As he wiped his mouth with the back of his paw, Monte pushed the napkin dispenser (or whatever the heck it is called) towards Toji and hoped that he would use that instead. Her body stiffened when she heard Wave's statement and she tried to regain her nonchalant demeanor but her cheeks reddened and that same misleading, embarrassed smile shown on her lips. "T-They know I d-don't.. What a-are you.." The nervousness was soon replaced with anger and she genuinely glared at him without another word for she knew her stuttering would get out of hand if she attempted to protest. Monte clutched her fork and shoved a chunk of pie into her mouth to keep herself from fuming.

Toji looked in between Wave and Monte, confused."Um....what's going on?" He tilted his head, then shook it."Adults are so weird.....And that is the truth!!!" He grinned, laughing, then looked in consertation as a thug came walking loudly in, with other thugs came fallowing him."Uh...guys....We may have a little problem...."He pointed at them. It seemed like it was a gang, for they were wearing leather coats, with The Pack stitched aross the bag, and a wolf skull pattern below it.

Wave couldn't help but laugh as Monte spoke up, seeing that reddened cheek and embarrassed smile upon her face. Even when this expression changed to an angered glare at him, he couldn't help but chuckle at a slowly quieting pace, seeing her shove that chunk of pie into her mouth. Hearing Toji comment, Wave soon calmed down well enough until the second comment was made. Blinking, the hedgehog turned his gaze over to where Toji pointed, seeing the apparent 'gang' enter. "...Looks like your place is about to get some trouble," Wave stated to Monte, his eyes focused on the thugs.

Monte watched this group enter the establishment and swore to herself that if they bothered anyone.. they'd have to deal with her. Hopefully, they weren't too stupid as to cause a scene in public. Her phone buzzed again and this time it was a text message. Why couldn't he just leave her alone like the rest of her family? "They haven't done anything yet guys, be patient." she told them and slid another piece of apple pie in her mouth. Fortunately, her blush had went away by then because she despised it.
