I noticed that when someone starts to DMS for the first time, the crew mates will often use language unfamiliar to them. Here's a little dictionary to help!

*For questions about certian rings, please refer to xInsanityKills's Ring Guide.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
General

DMS - Deadman's Shadow (Inside of Deadman's Pass)

Shorbs - Shadow Orbs. Monsters inside of DMS drop these instead of regular Charge Orbs. 10 shorbs are needed to upgrade a 10.0 ring up by 0.1 CL. 20 shorbs are needed to upgrade a 11.0 ring up by 0.1

Reg - Regular DMS, where one person aggros the monsters (gets their attention so you won't get attacked) and the rest of the crew focuses on attacking.

Speed - Speed is where everyone goes into the doors at once. Bringing wish is highly advised so that you can help the crew.

Suppress - Changing you level to 11.4 CL. You do this in Reg and Speed in order to increase chances of loot.

Tuna - Becoming Attuned. This means you have successfully found Kamila and completed your first 100 minions Quest. See this post for more.

Aggro/Kite/Tank - The person who goes in first and gets the monsters attention. They take most of the damage as the rest of the crew comes in later and attacks everything.

DPS - Damage Per Second. These usually bring 4-6 attacks and are responsible for most of the killing.*

BU - Back Up. They heal the kite. They are responsible for taking over the Kite, if the kite dies. (Brings wish and band, sometimes they are assigned quicksand depending on the kite)*

BUBU - BackUp-BackUp. Responsible for healing the Mostly the crew and the BU. and Heals the kite at a set HP. they mostly attack if the Kite and BU are good. ( brings Wish )*

Veggie - People who dont bring Meat ring.

Repo - Repositioning. Basically, telling someone to move their avi from where they currently are. Aggros usually do this to make it easier for the crew to attack my spacing out / resetting monsters

Reset - Used mostly by aggros, this is a trick where you move to a far corner of the room until the monsters following you stop moving. Wait a few seconds and they will hopefully return to their original spot. If not, run around again until they stop and return. Stay in this spot to keep them reset. (This is a good technique to reduce damage from too much aggro as well as keeping nfs and bds under control.)

Areas of DMS

YR/YM - Yellow Room/Maze. This is the first section of caves in DMS, noted by the yellow lanterns blazing in their rooms. YM is usually 20-25 rooms long. Most monsters are 11.0 CL.

GR/GM - Green Room/Maze. This is the second section of caves in DMS, noted by the green lanterns blazing in their rooms. GR is usually 20-25 rooms long. Most monsters are 12.5 CL.

HPR - Hundred Percent Room. This is the third section of caves in DMS, though it's really just a corridor 3 screens long. Inside are 3 counts, blood bats, and Kamila.

Crypt - This is the area after HPR. Inside is a cemetery and you face the first form of Kamila as she sends vamps and blood bats after you.

BL - Bloodlust. This is the second form of Kamila and it takes place in a special place after crypt. Here's a screenshot.

Order of DMS: YM -> GM -> HPR -> Crypt -> BL

Monsters

BB - Blood Bats. Found anywhere in DMS aside from YM and sometimes BL.

BD - Big Dog. A mini-boss of YM and GR. You usually attack it last.

NF - Night Fright. Another mini-boss of YM and GR. Again, attacking it last is usual.

Grue - These little guys are actually invisible, but they'll kill you right away if you don't have solar! Don't worry though, they only appear from 12-2am GST.

Troll Chest - Also called "Evil Chests" or "Aggressive Chests". DMS has two types of chest monsters inside - ones with 460 HP and ones with 10258 HP. The ones with 460 are easy to kill and do not attack, but the 10k ones attack you and do quite a bit of damage. This, along with how long they take to kill is how they earned the name Troll Chests.

Kamila - The Final Boss of DMS. You face her in Crypt and Blood Lust and her CL is 13.0.

[Still trying to think of other terms to add. If you know any, feel free to mention them!]

+ Maps

So you might see your mates also spout out strange messages like "[YM] E-BD-X-BD-X-X-BD-R-BR-BR to [GR] BR-TR-X-X-BL-X-BD-R-X-X-AMGHPR." This isn't just a string of gibberish!

Every time you go into DMS, the layout of the caves within change. In order to not get lost, crews make maps so they cane find their way around.

Here's how to read maps:
E - Entrance (Where Alastor and Deva are)
X - One-way. (Some use "1")
C - Crack.
BD - Big Door. (Usually in an upside-down "U" shape.)
TR - Top Right door
BR - Bottom Right door
TL - Top Left door
BL - Bottom Left door
T - Top part of the screen
B - Bottom left corner of the screen
M - Cave in the middle of the screen

surprised Not at all! Didn't know it even deserved it's own sub-forum!

Perhaps instead of just having it for the dictionary though, maybe just make it a "Guides" subforum?
