A slightly less humble abode like those in Karakura, the Kurosaki residence can be found in an apartment complex in the Mashiba district of the city, several miles away from the old clinic. The interior is relatively spacious, with a light and airy atmosphere. The decor itself is relatively simple, with many long walls and simple pieces of furniture about. The bedrooms themselves are a little more decorative, accustomed to each resident's style.

Current Residents:
Hisana Kurosaki
Ichigo Kurosaki (owner)
Rukia Kurosaki

Well over a half-hour passed when the front door to the apartment quietly creaked open. The small sounds of footsteps thumped on the hardwood floor, before Hisana snuck in and looked around at the seemingly empty apartment complex. "Er... Mom? Dad? I'm home..." Her slightly timid tone was suddenly put out of its misery when the door slammed shut, and she whirled around to feel an oddly cold breeze. ...Though, there was nothing. She sighed, before turning back around to find her parents at the kitchen's island counter. Her dad just leaned casually against it, while her mom had her arms crossed and her posture fixed up straight. Their daughter could only stare, as their different stares broke her down. "...Hi-"

"Are you alright?" Apparently, the midget of a mother had no boundaries when it came to over-protection.
"Yeah, I="
"I can't believe you just charged straight into a battle against a Hollow that you couldn't even see!" Oh. That. "I know your father and I tried to prepare you for this, but after Tokyo, we didn't want you to have to face something like that again!"
Hisana could only help but quirk an eyebrow upwards at the woman's discomforting words. "Mom, that was a long time ago. I've learned how to take care of myself since then- Ow- Hey, watch it!" The "Family Nurse" was gone in a flicker, before prying off her school blazer and pulling up the back of her flannel white shirt. Naturally, her dad covered his eyes to prevent watching the scene.
"I knew it..." her mom sighed sadly, pulling the shirt back down and sulking back to her dad's side. "You got hurt worse than I thought-"
"Rukia, calm down..." The man straightened himself up and brushed his bangs away from his eyes, approaching a kitchen cabinet and opening the door to reveal the medicinal supplies. He quickly tugged out a small white box with a red plus on it, before closing it shut and coaxing his daughter over to the couch. "Easy now, bud. Watch that bruise." Ah, fathers. So protective and concerned as always. Rukia could only hold her breath while Ichigo tended to the child's wounds. Funny. In her violet eyes, Hisana was still just a nine-year-old getting ready to attend the fourth grade. She knew well that the girl had potential, but not to a point where it needed to be exercised. "So, how did this happen?"
Hisana scratched the back of her head while he applied an ice pack, securing it to the bruise with a few gauze bandages before inclining her back on the couch cushions. "Er, well..." she started, looking out the wall-length window view. "I kinda got pushed back into a wall..." Rukia came up to the two and leaned over the couch, her long raven-colored hair falling over her shoulders. "I mean, not physically. Spiritually, I guess. Heh. It's a confusing story..."

[Five Minutes Later...]

"...And yeah. That's pretty much it." By that point, the sun was starting to set, and Hisana was sipping out of a glass filled with the local ginger ale brand. "I came straight home thinking you two would be able to help a great deal more than the nurse's office. School's not so much fun anymore." While she took another sip, Rukia and Ichigo took a glance to each other, then looked back to their daughter.
"Well, alright then," Ichigo nonchalantly stated, joining her in lounging on the lengthy sofa. "If that's the case, then we really don't have much of a choice at this point."
'Not much of a choice.' She knew that statement meant either bad news or an excruciatingly weird outcome. "...What's that supposed to mean?" He pointed a finger to her mom, who was sitting at one of the dining room table's chairs with a cell phone in hand, Chappy charm dangling from the antenna while she pushed several buttons. It was apparent that she was texting, but the child had no idea to whom. She never thought her mom to be the modern communication type. "Mom? What are you doing?" The look she received did nothing to comfort her, when the woman hit 'Send.'

"I'm contacting your uncle Byakuya. We're going to make sure you're prepared the next time this happens."
"Prepared???" The look in the adolescent's eyes was more shocked than confused. "What, am I being put under house arrest?!"
"No," Ichigo cut in again. "We're getting you some help. But if that fails... Well, I hope you like vacations. The Soul Society will be a lovely fit for you."

├ Shiro had lost sight of the young Kurosaki child, however he managed to follow some trace of reiatsu, that he believed was her leaking reiatsu. Finally, the reiatsu lead to the Kurosaki clinic. He looked back at the school's direction, hoping the best for the two kids. Soon enough he was in front of the house of the household. 'So this is where the legendary Kurosaki kun lives...' amazed, Shiro took a step at the front door. He had never felt so nervous his entire life. Lot of life changing events have came upon to him, but nothing like this. 'Well here goes nothing', he raised his hand to the doorbell, and clicked hoping for a response.
"What if I followed the wrong reiatsu!?!?"
"What if this is the wrong house ?!?!"
"What if they think I'm some kind of stalker !?!?"
"What if Kurosaki isn't even home !?!?"
Thoughts were flying through Shiro's head. 'No, this has to be the house. His eyes were confident, the nervous feelings had drained out of his system. He could finally thank this man for letting his brother rest in peace. At the very least, he had to be able to be of some service after what had happened previously at the school.

XXXXXXXFrom inside the house, there were several muffled voices anyone standing outside the door could make out. It would have continued on, had the doorbell not rung. "I'll get it," Ichigo sighed, getting up from his much-coveted seat on the long sofa. He made his way across the wooden floor, footsteps silent since he was just wearing socks on his feet. He narrowed his eyes. That reiatsu... Why does it feel familiar? He shook the thought off and reached the door, looking through the peephole. What he saw was a little more than shocking.

"Ichigo?" Ruka asked from the kitchen. "Who's at the door?"

Ichigo's response was a bit muffled under his breath, enough that his spouse couldn't make out the words. He then straightened himself up and cleared his throat, slicking his hair back into place from its bedhead style. With a single flick of the wrist, the doorknob was turned, and the entryway was open to the person outside. Well, it would be, if the carrot-top weren't blocking it.

"Ichimaru, right?" he asked bluntly with an indifferent expression on his face.

├ Shiro stopped, his chest was pounding, he couldn't believe that Ichigo Kurosaki was standing in front of him. "Hai!" Without hesitation, he took a formal bow. "My name is Shiro Ichimaru, I am Gin's younger brother." Shiro fixed his posture, "It is a pleasure meeting you. I've wanted to thank you for helping my brother and seeing him to the end." He paused, "If I can be of any service to you, or your family, please tell me and I would gladly assist with anything." Am I being too formal? Am I in a dream? No, no you aren't. Show your dearest respects.

"You've got to be kidding me."

A certain young adult place a hand on her hip, eyebrows drawn together as she scowled at the silver-haired man in front of her. The green clips and bow that had served as an identifier at school had been removed now allowing her red locks to fall freely over her shoulders and back. With the accessories gone the effect it had on her appearance was downright startling- her features seemed sharper now, more defined. The signs of a young woman on the cusp of adulthood. The strict turn to her lips settled into a simple frown though her emerald eyes narrowed in warning.

"When I said 'get lost' I didn't mean 'go stalk someone'" she crossed her arms across her chest and canted her head ever so slightly to the left regarding the Visored with a great deal of scrutiny. The admiration in his eyes and his vaguely excited voice had not been lost on her as she approached. As far as she could tell the man meant no harm though she couldn't fathom why he was here other than to trouble the carrot-haired young woman. After a moment she sighed and let her arms drop giving him a cold look.

"Don't cause any trouble."

With that done she strode forward a little more so that she was within sight of the carrot-haired man standing in the doorway. She glanced him over assessing the power in the air around him and the way he held himself. A warrior like herself and the silver-haired man standing beside her. A flicker of amusement darted through her mind as she noted the strong resemblance to Hisana before she dropped into a formal bow.

"Good afternoon." she righted herself a polite but neutral expression on her face as she explained herself "My name is Dawn Rhys, I'm a classmate of Kurosaki-chan. I have little doubt that you already know what occurred during class today. Regardless of whether or not you have or have not I've come to check on her if that's all right."

She was the absolute picture of good manners right now. It's not like she lacked them but more often than not when she met someone it was either a) in the heat of battle or b) an annoying, backstabbing, immature teenager in school. Understandably there was little to no time for good manners in either case.

XXXXXXXIchigo opened his mouth again to respond, but was cut off when a redheaded girl approached the front door from down the hallway. He raised an eyebrow, taking in her words, before a slightly irritated expression appeared in his eyes. "Stalking?" he repeated, looking down to the silver-haired Ichimaru at the front door. He pressed his lips into a thin line, before sighing and stepping aside for Dawn to enter the household. Before closing the door, he looked back to Shiro. "You're welcome," Ichigo bluntly retorted, the least amount of sincerity in his voice. "Now if you don't mind, I have some other affairs to attend to."

That being said, the door swung shut, leaving Shiro standing out in the hallway. Entering the household would surely mean either a harsh verbal scolding...or possibly a beat-down.

When another redhead besides herself entered the household with her dad's permission, Hisana had no idea how to react. Dawn? Coming to check on her??? Surely this is all a dream, she pondered, looking over from the television and at the emerald-eyed acquaintance. "Uhm... Hi???" A few moments of silence slipped by in-between supposed greetings, before she scratched the back of her head, unsure of what to say.

"So uh... I...might be going on vacation in a week or so... That is, if my mom and dad don't find me a teacher." It was all she could think of at the moment in time, while her mom walked over with a tray of warm tea and some saucer cups, setting it down on the coffee table in front of the elongated couch. The raven-haired mother sat down on the cushions next to her daughter and poured herself some, lightly taking a sip before placing the cup with a clink onto its matching plate.

"Hisana is just a little nervous," Rukia butted in, "considering I contacted my brother Byakuya for that task." A small smile crossed her lips, as her daughter let out a loud groan and slumped down.

"Hello" she gave a short, frank nod and took a seat, rising again when Rukia entered and offering the woman a solemn bow in greeting.

"Thank you for your hospitality" she murmured to the woman she presume was Hisana's mother -there was something in the shape of the eyes and face despite the strong jaw she had from her father-and took her seat once more. A red brow rose only a fraction, what could have been a smile tugging at the corner of the young woman's mouth before settling back into her stoic expression. This was going to be a bit of an explanation in and of itself.

"You are shinigami" a simple statement that warranted no argument if the expressions of the family in question were anything to go by. She nodded and closed her eyes, mulling over what to say next "A week is a long time. I'm sure you've already detected this, but her control is far too fragile to go unchecked even for such a seemingly short amount of time. Within these walls she is safe, as I see you've taken protective measure, but outside them she will be a danger not only to herself but to everyone around her" the redhead paused and sighed, wondering what she was getting herself into.

At that point the redhead rose and bowed a full 90 degrees showing the sincerity and gravity of her request. Her hair fell in folds around her face as she stared at her shoes and, by extension, the carpeted floor beneath them "I haven't the right, but in the meantime I ask that you please allow me to tutor your daughter. I'll be able to accompany her to school and keep a closer eye on her throughout the day. Please accept."

---------------------------

And they did.

It was a bit stunning, the redhead mused as she stood outside the Kurosaki girl's house, considering they didn't know the first thing about her. The ribbon back in her hair shifted slightly as she glanced down at her watch, sighing and leaning her head back against the wall across from her new pupil's house. What was taking her so long?

Everything had been set up with this new "tutor," and several smiles were exchanged, be them sincere or humorously sarcastic. That day left Hisana's visible eye both sparkling...

...And full of salty tears. Of course, neither were exposed under after Dawn left the apartment, but she looked to her parents with something of a shocked and appalled gesture. "Hey, don't give me that look," her father smirked, ruffling the hair on top of her head. "She's right. You need someone to teach you all this stuff. Who else is going to?"

"Gee, I dunno... YOU?" What came out of her mouth only sent a few chuckles out Ichigo's, as he stood up and took his leave to the kitchen, leaving his daughter dumbfounded. "Wha- Hey! Don't leave me hangin' on this!" That bewildered adolescent look was on her face for the first time in forever, as she bolted up and followed him over. Rukia looked over from the stove, where she was fixing their dinner, and returned Hisana's questioning expression with a stern and reprimanding one.

"Hisana," she started, "your father is possibly one of the most reckless men on the face of this planet. Therefore, what he tries to teach you is only going to blow up in both your faces. Literally. Therefore, if someone as cold and closed off as Dawn has offered to train you, then we're more than willing to jump at the chance. Besides, it could be a while before your uncle Byakuya returns my message."

Those were the last words they chose to exchange in regards to the subject.

~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
The blaring noise from the alarm clock at a bedside sent the redhead upright in bed, with something of a glazed over, half-baked expression. She had set the alarm to go off at the time Dawn was going to arrive, not the time she was supposed to get up and get ready. All thoughts left her mind, as she quickly bolted into the bathroom with a robe and her casual clothes for that day. There were several different sounds from behind the closed door, especially those where she slipped, hit her knee on the shower floor, knocked down all the bottles of hygiene products, and struggled to try and dry off before she practically flung herself into her clothes and made it out the door, dry, but disoriented.
The front door swung open, and Hisana found Dawn standing there, looking at her watch as if waiting impatiently for the poor woman. She was in the middle of tying her eyepatch around her head with some form of difficulty, but she managed, before she tugged her jacket up and let out a heavy sigh. "...Five minutes," she casually spoke up. "Hehe. That's a new record." Well, hopefully the redhead could manage whatever came her way, especially if she was wearing that.
"You're late" she drawled, eyeing her stoically through a half open eye. A moment passed wherein she seemed to observe her new student before sighing and pushing off the wall, tucking her hands in the pockets of a large and comfortable jacket "First rule is punctuality. Come along."
She settled into an easy lope, eating a lot of ground despite the walking pace she had chosen "Second is address. When we're training you will refer to me as 'teacher'" she paused, flicking over her knowledge of japanese briefly before coming up with the correct translation "I think the martial instruction in your language is 'shisho' but 'sensei' is adequate. Likewise I will address you as Kurosaki-san."
The redhead ran down her mental map, tracing the location she wanted to use in comparison and grimacing slightly "I would rather not take you out of school today, but considering your lack of control it's necessary or you'll simply place the student body in danger. I'll fill you in on a few more rules when we arrive. Move faster, you have long legs."
And she turned onto the streets of Karakura.
She was extremely reluctant to follow along at first, but it seemed there was no choice, let alone, she had no say in the matter. Hisana kept up with Dawn at a light jogging pace, listening to her demands along the way. she quirked an eyebrow, trying to imagine calling someone the same age as her, "teacher." All the Kurosaki could do was hold back a laugh, biting down hard on her lip to try not to give it away. Then Dawn mentioned in her language something like that.
"Wakatta, shishou~," she replied in Japanese, a slight tone of amusement on the edge of her speech. Hehe. So, the redhead really was a foreigner. "Hey, as long as I get to learn, I'm cool with it. Just don't go shoving any textbooks in my face. Although..." Hisana pondered something for a second, placing a finger to her chin as she thought something over. "How could you see those monsters too? When I wasn't KO'd back there, I couldn't see them. But you were..." She gradually went quiet, trying to piece things together in her head, at the same time nonchalantly walking a few paces ahead of Dawn.
