I haven't been on Gaia in a year and a couple of days. I was very freaked out when I realised. But I've had a really fun day in my Free Shart thread smile

I guess everyone has the right to know that I've gone thru a rather serious illness -- began in April of this year -- so I've been away from Gaia, just focusing on getting healthy again. BRAINS! Yeah, it was a Brains Problem, (minor stroke) affecting my motor abilities, fine and big motor skills (like walking) and my drawing skills have all gone to pot -- but I think I'm getting better line control back again, and my vision is back to normal again. Pamu, you said that you miss being able to share things with complete strangers -- well, since I am not quite back to my ol' self yet, you might consider me a "stranger" lol
And, in case you didn't know, or forgot -- I am also Batchic, Gruelgrimm, DeeDee Gambino, and Timmy Tao, to name a few sides of my avatar-selves.
Gotta go, now -- my attention span is a little short -- but best to all our guilders, hope your summer has been grand.

Believe a teacher of mine in high school got a PhD and got some sort of brain damage. Forgot a lot of things including her schooling, so she went to school and reclaimed her Doctor title as good as ever. Never got really close to her, but I hope things do well for you. I wouldn't wish brain damage/deterioration on my worst enemy

Forgot a lot of things including her schooling, so she went to school and reclaimed her Doctor title as good as ever. Never got really close to her, but I hope things do well for you. I wouldn't wish brain damage/deterioration on my worst enemy
Been a good girl, taking all my required meds, and doing physiotherapy. My "drawing hand" has come back (o bliss!) and practicing on my autoharp has been helping with my fine motor skills. I monitor my blood sugars daily (have diabetes type 2) and made whole berry cranberry sauce with splenda instead of sugar (not as bad as you might think!) --> for Canadian Thanksgiving. Got a cold right now, tho, with all sorts of fluids flowing from eyes and nose -- but I'm well-equipped with kleenex to battle this thing! Good to hear from you, Pamu, and altho' I'm not on Gaia daily, as long ago, I'm coping well with Real Life, making little improvements, each day. heart Batty

I've been doing the best I can heart -- enjoying reading good books, going to the movies (as a treat), with my boyfriend, Jim, now and then, and popping onto Gaia quite a bit. I enjoyed trading in my Winter Snowflake Charms for special items this year (first time to do so!) especially because these items were related to the Jack Frost/Sandman story. It's been over a year (2015) that I have not bought any Gaia Cash to buy items, so participating with events to get items has been quite rewarding for me. heart heart
I hope that you are doing well, also!
