Step into my world of dark. Step into a world of dreams.
You know not whats in store for you in this world of Fear. One year....one long, torturous, vibrantly chaotic year. That's how long it had been since Autumn had gone away on her 'quest', since the dark haired beauty had spoken with him at the entrance of the Caldecott tunnel her soft voice still lingering in his ear. On occasion when the wind was strong from the west the red head would almost swore he could still smell her perfume. It was all probably wishful thinking, or someone having a bit of fun with him but gods did he wish she was back some days. Autumn would be horrified probably with how things had gone with the camp. Here they were on the brink of potential war and he knew she would have found a diplomatic way out of this situation he found himself in. Instead Flinch found himself sitting in his office in full Praetor gear waiting for his messenger to return. His long legs stretched out before him coated in pure black denim that helped hid the combat boots beneath them. Covering his well muscled torso was a long sleeved turtle neck spandex that looked more like pure shadow clinging to him then a shirt. Par of him felt like he was getting ready to go play ninja if it was for the gleaming gold of the chest plate over it. On his arms were a pair of well cared for dark leather bracers that he was hardly seen without. If it wasn't enough Flinch's form was draped in the royal purple cape that marked him for what he was. The red head had half a mind to flip out his weapon and leave the scythe form resting against his arm but that might be a tad too intimidating.
A soft form pressed against his leg and yellow eyes shifted down to meet the bright eyes of his companion. Pho stared unwavering back, this jackal already known to be too smart for it's own good. Rumor around the camp was that Timor sent it to his son as a guard. Flinch didn't know if that was the truth but he did little to dissuade the rumor. Let enemies beware. After all there was the rare occasion that the Praetor was certain his father was possessing the dog. Reaching out he lightly scratched under the large canine's jaw earning a lazy tail wag out of the beast.
"Sure are taking their time, eh Pho? Remind me to have the couriers to do some timed run training exercises." Flinch said his voice calm on the surface but betrayed a bit of mischievousness that played on the sadistic edge. He was not the violent type.....most of the time. Flinch just liked to make certain people learned their lessons and do so fast.
"Who knows maybe we'll make it fun and put people hiding ready to tackle them if they aren't fast enough. Losers clean the stables for a week." He continued lightly as the jackal whoofed a soft response. Letting a dark chuckle leave his lips a thin hand pushed the glasses that adorned his face up.
Settling back in the chair Flinch reached out to pick up the shiny object on his desk. Pho had brought it to him about an hour ago and he had yet to figure out it's significance. He never doubt the canine no matter how crazy he seemed to be acting. The disk was smooth and tiny, nothing more then a coin but it wasn't common currency anymore. On it's face showed the depiction of Alexander the Great and Alex was bloody today. Who Pho had mauled or what corpse he had gotten it from but it had a purpose that much he did know. A part of him had a bad feeling it had something to do with the plans for the day. Soon the young woman they had found would be here and he could begin questioning her. She hadn't been well enough for Flinch to speak with at first and he knew better then to get in the way of a Healer and their charge. There was one thing about her though, the thing that concerned him the most. She was Greek. Last summer he had lead a small group into the Greek territory in order to retrieve a lost lamb of theirs. It didn't go over so well. Autumn had feared they would strike back against them and most of the camp seemed to feel that this was only the beginning. A very bad start but a declaration none the less. Flinch just didn't feel it entirely the same, but not everyone had the battle lust he did. Hopefully the girl would provide great insight into the Greek intentions and give him what he needed to make a decision. After all this could be war and Flinch wasn't so sure it was a bad thing.
