Yuichi the Spinda (played by Mriae) & Kylie the Buneary (played by Hobo Pixi) Caterpie's Forest
Beginner Rank, Levels 1 - 10
Home to Bug and Grass Types
Just east of Armonia lies a small but flourishing forest. In the sun, it glimmers with colors; red, yellow, blue, and multitudes of green. Though it's labeled as a dungeon, if only for the mysterious moss covered stairs that appear to lead explorers deeper into sun-flooded groves, most Armonians don't think of Caterpie's Forest as particularly dangerous. Guild leaders send their new recruits here for practice. While most of the wild Pokemon who have taken up residence in the forest are peaceful, the Bug types can be quite territorial...

After much sparring and other various training exercises, Kylie was prepared to go back to that wicked forest. She considered this as another training method and was fairly excited to try her luck again! Though, she had hoped that she would fight the boss this time... oh and that Yuichi would win fights too so that he would gain levels too! As they reached the entrance, Kylie took a deep breath and looked at Yui, "Ready to go, partner?" she said with a smile but before waiting on a reply, she walked on it.

As Kylie walked in, she recalled that there was nothing in this room. After searching around a bit, it seemed as though she was correct. She shrugged and motioned to yui to lead.

"Seems like our roles are reversed now. You got the empty room first this time."
He had to admit -- he was a little amused by this fact, but Yuichi said no more. After his partner had led the two of them to a dead end, it was time for him to take his turn in leading the way. Although he was unsure of where he would be headed and what would await him, the Spinda was eager. Training with the Buneary was fun, even if things could get a little chaotic within the forest. He tried not to think about bad things, however, as he walked down a path that was brightly lit by the sun. He just focused on moving forward and trying to do his best with his partner within the forest.

Just as he was about to take a step further down the path, Yuichi ran into something. Well, not something, rather -- someone. It was a Nincada, and the Bug type did not seem amused about being run into. He was quite annoyed, in fact, and moved to take a swing at the Normal type.
This early on in their adventure, and already things were getting hostile. Where was all this crazy energy coming from. Actually...probably from Kylie; she was pretty mischievous, but Yuichi kept his mouth shut when that thought crossed his mind.

LOSE!
The Nincada's attack hit, causing Yuichi to tumble over with a soft 'oomph' before falling on his behind in the dirt. Luckily for him, the Bug type had seemed pleased enough with the results of his attack. Yuichi had only stumbled into him, so there was no reason to do any more damage. Having gotten the better of the Spinda, he then wandered away.
Yuichi looked back at Kylie and quirked a brown. He then got up off of the ground, dusted off his behind, and then motioned for the girl to lead. "Chances are, you'll have better luck than me."

Kylie winced at her friend's defeat then patted him with a smile as she took the lead. "Don't forget, this is training too!" she told him then adding, "So win or lose, let's have fun." And with that she headed down another path... what lies ahead, she thought.

Walking down the pathway which lead to nothing, Kylie tripped and tumbled back into the upright position. After gathering herself she looked back to see what she tripped on..... A stick? She giggled as she recalled Yui finding a lot of sticks. She looked at him and smiled, "yup a stick.." she said as she stuck out her tongue.

Yuichi could only chuckle when Kylie stuck out her tongue. He remembered their last dungeon adventure together. There were quite a lot of sticks to be found during that trip through Caterpie's Forest. "You never know," he commented with a knowing expression, "a stick could come in handy sometime." After saying this, he turned and walked down one of the other multiple paths throughout the forest, curious as to where that one would take them.

It took them nowhere, in actuality.
Yuichi drooped when he found that part of the forest to be particularly empty. There wasn't any pokemon, no berries, not even a simple stick. You knew a particular area of the woods was disappointing when there wasn't even something like a stick.
"Clearly, I'm not so good at choosing rooms today. Your turn, Kylie."

Kylie looked around the empty room and shook her head, "We are having some bad luck." she said with a giggle as she looked for another way to go. She then started down another path in hopes of finding... well anything.

As Kylie walked she started to notice that she had walked back to the first room she had entered, "Oh man, I'm sorry, Yui.... I guess I was lost...." she apologized as she looked around..."your go..." she added.

Another dead end with no pokemon or objects in sight. In his mind, Yuichi was a little grateful that there weren't any pokemon in this room. It would give the two of them some time to rest and relax, not to mention take their time as they made their way throughout the forest. "It's okay, Kylie," he said nonchalantly with a wobbly wave of his paw. "We'll find something neat soon; I promise!" With that, he proceeded to sway and stagger his way in front of his partner, taking his turn with leading the way through the next part of the woods.

As Yuichi was walking along, he didn't seem to be paying much attention. Unknown to him, the Spinda walked right over a bunch of berries and other types of food that was lying on the ground, proceeding to trip over them and squish the berries in the process. The moment he did, a enraged Combee flew out from behind a tree, clearly distraught that her lunch was no good anymore.
"Hey, Kylie -- a Combee! You were the Queen of the Combees, and now I'm face to face with one." In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best of things for Yuichi to say. It made the Bug type even more angry, to the point where she flew at him with a deathly glare.

WIN!
Yet Yuichi managed to find his speed, somehow, and rolled out of the way just in time. The Combee was so focused on trying to hit the Spinda that she didn't notice him roll out of the way. Once he did, she hit the ground with a thud, seemingly knocking herself out cold from the impact. Yuichi winced as he watched the scene unfold, but waved his hand to Kylie. The two of them had better get out of there, lest the Bug type woke up. There was no way the Spinda wanted to be around when that happened, though he was sincerely sorry that he smooshed her lunch. He had to learn to watch where he was going more often.
