Basic Baked Potato

This recipe is one of the easiest you can make, and also the tastiest!

Ingredients:

-One or more Russet potatoes
-Vegetable oil
-Sea salt/Kosher salt

Preheat oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius).

Wash the potatoes. Dry them, then deeply poke four or five holes in them with a sharp knife. Rub the potatoes with oil until they are well coated.

Rub them by hand with salt or roll them on a salt-sprinkled plate until the jackets are nicely studded.

Place the potatoes directly on the middle rack- DO NOT WRAP IN ALUMINUM FOIL. Bake for one hour.

The results: A crisp and flavorful jacket, and potato flesh so fluffy no one at the table will be able to get enough.
