As usual, Fog was on his way to Caterpie's Forest to get rid of some energy and train. On the way, he noticed a Flareon taking the same route, looking a bit on edge.
"On your way to the forest?" he asked the fire pokemon. The Flareon looked at him, before nodding.
"Yeah, last time I went in, there was an awful lot of angry bug pokemon..." he murmured.
"Why don't we travel together? I'm Fog," The Mightyena stared down at the Flareon with his bright red eyes. He seemed scrappy, he could be a good temporary partner, at least for this run.
"That sounds... nice. I'm Logan," Logan was sizing up the Mightyena as well. He looked tough, just what the Flareon was looking for in a rescuing companion. Hopefully the big guy would be able to beat up the bug pokemon while he looked around for some loot!
Together, they continued the walk to Caterpie's Forest.

Already a Caterpie was dropping towards him from the trees. Readying himself to fight, Fog growled.
As the Caterpie dropped within biting distance, Fog savagely tore it from it's string and whipped it into some nearby bushes. He let out a chuckle as he heard it scuttle away.

A Nincada scurried out from under some bushes and went to slash at him. Letting out a hiss, he went to tackle it... and landed on his face! He vaguely heard the sound of it giggling and leaving back under the bushes it had come from.
He grumbled to himself as he stood. How embarrassing!

"You can't win every fight," he said sagely. "Each fight you lose just means you have to train harder,"

At hearing Fog's voice, the same Nincada jumped from the bush and decided to come at him this time.
Fog quickly dispatched it with a well-placed tackle.

A Combee came from the treetops and right at Logan. He squared his shoulders in preparation. He'd win this one!
... Or not. The Combee sent a gust of wind at him that sent him flying.
"Ugh," he grunted. This sucked!

"I don't always win," Fog laughed, helping the Flareon up.
As he was helping Logan, he noticed a stick on the ground next to him.
"This could come in handy," he muttered, tucking it into the pack around his neck.

As those words left his mouth, another Nincada leapt at him from the bushes.
He readied a tackle, determined to win this time.
But luck just didn't seem to be on his side during this dungeon run. He let out a cry as the Nincada scratched at him before disappearing in the foliage.
What was it with these bugs today?

Fog frowned as his companion was attacked again.
"You just need more training," he said. "Dungeons are harder when you're new to them,"
As they continued to walk, Fog noticed another stick by his feet. He tilted his head to the side, and then decided two sticks were better than one. He tucked it safely into his pack.

A nearby Weedle must have heard Logan's insulting words. It launched itself at him with an agitated clicking noise.
Logan was too startled to do anything as the Weedle covered him in gross string-shot and left in a huff.
"UGH!" Logan shouted.
