I hope I didn't creep anyone out, but, I kind of wanted to at the same time. xd Please post any game ideas you have right here! heart

Hangman
Like the old school game you played as a kid. Host or whoever starts out with a blanked out word or phrase
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ !
a p p l e s a u c e i s d e l i c i o u s !
Then people starting guessing letters until eventually they solve the phrase. Players can only guess one letter per post, and post one letter per page. Players submit guesses via PM. This would be a super quick game that can be held at random times. It'll be a quick way to bolster post numbers. Maybe the game name could be changed...Since in Hangman you draw a person. If we did it that way depending on how elaborate the stick figure it would only warrant around six guesses or so....

Idea! eek What if you just did it like you did with Caliban's Secret? That worked really well, didn't it? That might help save your inbox and spam posts. We could have a new puzzle everyday! xd

Hey yeah! That sounds like an awesome idea! What should we call it? Don Quixote's secret pearl of wisdom? lmao

Either that, or he's taken a stab at writing romance novels, and the answers are cheesy lines of his creation. rofl

Hee hee! Oh that'd be great. Oh for even a rose does wilt my lady, so thus thine wrinkles are most becoming.
Hmmm... We might want to work on this section sometime soon. confused

So I figured it would be a good idea to post the two games I was hoping to do on here...since it is the games section.
1. Literary Trivia: A fun literature based question gets asked 3 times (or 2, haven't decided yet) a day and the first 3 people that PM me the correct answer will win a prize. Prizes for this game are already taken care of.
2. The Old Folks Home Lost and Found Box: Dig around it in and keep the first thing you find. I had hope to have these prizes numbered so that people can roll a dice and whatever number they land on is the prize they get. Prize announcements will be accompanied by sarcasm (as appropriate to my character) and whimsy. I also have the prizes for this game already....though I have not decided on whether I should just post it on the game page and just let people play when they find the game (with a once a day rule) or if I should post the box in the games thread, like I did for gift tree last year. I could have people pm me their rolls, so I could keep better track of them....?
3. I have not come up with a third game....I kinda miss MommaG's Guess my favorite game....which would be hilarious and terrifying for the characters we are portraying....once again this would take place in the games thread...let me know your thoughts.

For an In-plot game we could have the guests find a missing item from each (or a select few) character...so for example, Ms. Havisham's glasses or Don Quixote's hat...and each item must be guessed and found by a set of clues? You know how old people are always forgetting where they last put stuff.
AND of course we should have a game involving the great medicine mix-up if we include that in the plot....Ahhh drugs.

Drugs, and all of the fun insanity that ensues! blaugh
But, here's an idea for a scavenger hunt. What if we did something with hiding clues in various posts that the cast makes. The first one to post the correct answer in the thread will win a prize, and trigger the next clue for all to see. That might be a fun idea!
Or... How about we have them question us in a game? They have to figure out something, and they have to ask questions of us to be able to get clues about what happened. Let's say for example that someone took Dr. VanHelsing's spectacles, and he's ticked off and blind now. We could turn it into a cast, "who dun it" type thing, which would work out nicely at the time of a crossover.
I also love the literary trivia idea! It's not a ball without a trivia contest, and I can't think of any better topic than classic lit! And, the best part about that is that we don't have to worry about copyright since we'd only be asking questions about the books, and not representing them! biggrin

I like the questioning idea...kinda like 20 questions or "What am I"....Or almost like a Clue game....lol...John Falstaff in the Drawing room with a Merlot bottle. HAH.
I need to start collecting the trivia again, I had what was previously given to me and gathered but I want a large collection of questions...I think I want to do 3 day...so I will need at least 12 or 15 in case some don't work out.
I also love a good scavenger hunt but how would we make it obvious what word is the right clue in the right post? Randomly make it bold or italic?

Either that, or we can pass people around. For instance, they ask Don Quixote, and he says something to the effect that makes them ask Granny. She in turn leads them to Alison, and so on and so forth. That should make our characters seem a little more interesting and interactive. I really like the types of games where they interact with the cast on a personal note.
For a scavenger hunt, we can do something kind of like a cypher, perhaps. They can look for the fourth post on the second page, and find the first word in the third sentence or something like that. It's an idea, but we can always stick with the old bold/italics also. It just depends on how hard we want to make it on them. xd
Hide and seek? where the RPers have to guess where people are hiding, or in my case, sleeping.

Yeah! Do you want to head that one up? I think we tossed around the idea of bath time being the reason for hide and seek in one of our meetings. biggrin
