Just to let you know, this will never be a failed attempt. This is coming from a Member from a year or two past, back near 2000 I was considered active in this guild [Less of a literate, but that doesn't really matter now does it?] and I loved every moment of it. But day by day and week by week my friends and fellow members all got busy, roleplays grew slower; a kind of curse that happens to all good guilds over time.

My username was once 'The Wold Dad', back when I roleplayed here; my excuse for being gone is school and a Newspaper, amongst further commodities that teenage boys just can't help but be addicted to. So i've been many places, always checking up on this guild from time to time; happy that through all these years it's still active with a few members. But I have realized it's inactivity, that there isn't such a great hustle and bustle like there used to be. If I were to find some friends here, one's that I know can stick through this Guild with some time dedicated to it then i'd plan to come back; otherwise i'll just have to watch, and hope that it happens on it's own.

I never truly left, in a sense i'm still here; waiting for the replies that never came.

I understand that~ I've made two new characters, even gone back and taken my old ones out for a new spin a while back; but they fell into the same rut.. I felt bad for them really. They were nice characters. I believe that you're right, that I cannot wait on others that are waiting on me; however this Topic of yours [Well made of course] I hope brings in those others, for if they post here then there is good hope. If I were to find some others willing to start again, or current roleplayers I could easily post again.

The only real problem, but it's not one now; is that the moderators are inactive, but there is no one to be managed right now so it's fine~

lol If you keep looking at yourself like that, you must maintain a superiority~ Always strive for your best or your cockiness is for naught ^^

And I know that that sounds well, but the last Event we tried to do that with was a Masquerade Ball [At least, in my memory] and that didn't bring in a lot of members, and back then it was even more active then this. It'd be good to send announcements, revivals, that sort of thing but the main thing members can do now is just pick up their activity. Get one big group of people going with no splits, and even if there are fights within it those members need to stick together. That would be best for the Guild, to get the ball rolling with a large boisterous group; even if it starts out small.

Yeah; Announcements and a Cleanup will help, but then again Cleaning up Member's doesn't really do to much; having the numbers to attract potential roleplayers isn't a bad thing, and having inactive members that don't cause trouble isn't to bad. Just having to many, and no active ones to support it is. However, cleaning up the forums is always a good thing; copying the introductory post, deleting the topic; and re-creating it is a good thing to allow new members fresh starts in forums.

And affiliates are normally a really good idea, something this Guild should look into; it'd bring in more members then it would lose at least~ All we need is one of the Moderators to be active and motivated really, and they can move on from there. For if the Captain doesn't get on anymore, there comes a time that the Guild can be passed down to it's VC's and Crew.

The prizes would bring in a lot of new members, I won't promise anything skill wise; there's always a varying sense of that when prizes are up for attraction ^^ Anyway that would work, i'll look into the activity levels of the Moderators and see who seems to be a potential candidate for the revival plan. Anyway, I hope that you're having fun in your roleplay; I see that you have two others with you at the moment, and that there are other active members from time to time.. Hopefully they can all connect to each other.

Oh okay! I see... One slight problem we may have is that there's settings on this guild that may not allow Crew members to send announcements. But other than that, sounds good! Nice work on your stalking skills XD

I also know that its not only that people are inactive in RPs but people are slowly getting more inactive on Gaia too. They're moving on, getting busy, socializing on other websites, etc. I'm fully-aware we cant exactly do much about that, but I just thought I'd put that out there, that its not just this Guild being "boring".

And yeah, what I'm gonna be doing these days is get on old and inactive topics on here and just "quote" the last couple of people who commented with a new introduction. They'll see the notification and maybe seeing a new person to RP with will bring some people back.
