Short Biography : Angelina has long black hair that reaches down her back. She keeps it tied up most of the time. She has her mother’s bright blue eyes and her father’s strong cheekbones and deep skin color. She’s a bit tall for a girl, standing at 5’8. She’s slim and willowy, flexible from long hours of exercise and martial training.

Angelina was orphaned at the age of seven when her parents, Guillermo and Sasha, were killed intervening in an attack against innocent people suspected of being magic users. Her father was a Brazilian man of some wealth. Her mother hailed from England, fair haired and beautiful. It is the defining trauma of her life and she has lived since with her godfather and her parent’s best friend, Philips. She thinks of him as a mentor and as a father, deferring to him in most things. He’s been teaching her to use his element, water, as well as teaching him how to fight physically and has also taken control of her schooling. He’s taught her the history of magic and it’s use and even delved outside of the typical math and English curriculum.

Angelina (Angel)’s best friend in her childhood was named Megan. Megan and she were inseparable for a long time growing up. Megan had a little sister, Lysette (Liz-ette). Megan was babysitting Lysette one night when she was 16 while her parents went out to the opera. Lysette was only 11. She talked on the phone with her best friend until she began to hear noises outside. It was late and Lysette was asleep. Megan got off the phone to call her parents but Angel felt badly in the pit of her stomach. Megan’s parents were well known magic users and she feared her best friend was in danger. She called Philips and they went straight to her house but by the time they got there, Megan was dead. The intruders fled when someone else came on them and failed to get to Lysette.

They called the proper authorities (who remain more or less neutral to the fighting and only come when called) and waited for Megan’s parents to come home. They never did. The next morning it was determined that a car accident had killed them both instantly, but Angel always remained suspicious of this easy explanation. She took Lysette home with her to live, Philips becoming legal guardian since there was no next of kin.

This gave Angel and idea, fueled in her anger and the pain of losing the one person she trusted most aside from her beloved guardian. She took her money and opened her home to orphaned magic users, like herself. She swore to always give solace to those who experienced the pain of loss she had. She acts now as a mentor and teacher herself, offering to others the training she’d been handed her entire life.

She’s kind, compassionate, and has her father’s fiery temper. She’s quick to fight for what she loves and slow to forget those that hurt her. She tries to be responsible but it’s hard sometimes since she’s so young. She likes spicy food, has never been in love, and has sworn to avenge those she loves one day when she can.

She’s a very private person and keeps to herself. She doesn’t ask much of those who find shelter in her home, only that they stay out of the library on the first floor and that they stay out of the third floor, her quarters. Even Philips maintains this most of the time, though her has permission. The books in the main library are old and were collected by her parents. They range in topic but some of the volumes on magic contain powerful spells and rituals. For this reason, it is magically sealed. The third floor isn’t sealed but those that live in the Manor tend to respect her wishes.
