Perhaps some darkspawn, demons, mages, templars, good old bandits and evil self serving nobles? Not sure if you all are a fan of dragon age but i stumbled upon my ultimate edition last night and the spark started to spread.

Always so supportive Nia emotion_awesome
If this was to ever take start I'd like to collaborate with someone else who has played through the series possibly into the EU, still trying to get into that myself. I personally liked Origins and Awakening a bit more then the 2nd one, then again i feel like i personally missed something in that game, so I'm going to just kind of creatively write it out of this universe.
So my idea for this story goes along the lines that The Wardens and all of the kings forces were slaughtered at Ostagar. Loghain and the treacherous Howe proceded to try and take the throne and rebuild the army lost at Ostagar. The refuse to admit that this threat is greater than they can fathom. The dwarves fall into a bloody civil war only to have it end when lord Harromount surrendered to avoid further bloodshed, he was executed of course. The Dalish elves were completely infected by the werewolves the lands around the woods became even more dangerous. The mages still locked within the tower by the Templar, were all converted or turned into abominations. The abominations and demons broke through the wards and poured out onto the Templar death and destruction with blood mages, demons and abominations spilling out into Fereldan.
None of this helped Loghainas it pulled his men away from preparing for the impending darkspawn invasion. As you can imagine his forces were overran, The qunari became interested when they heard no report from their men, the Orleasians still had spies within the country and immediately prepared for the blight sending messengers to all kingdoms of Thedas. They all responded save Par Vollen. The blight is upon us and things are remarkably grim.

Thanks for the interest, To me its what would have happened if Ducan never recruited a warden, or one who failed. If we could get some more interest Id be willing to work on the story.

Sounds awesome! I would like to add that I too have played the 1st DOA and Awakening and I love what you did with the storyline for if there was no new Warden. I might be interested to join if I can get a character together. Maybe you can look at my RP characters in my journal and let me know if one of them is suitable. Here is the link: http://www.gaiaonline.com/journal/?mode=view&post_id=32434212&u=18046446Of course though I would have to change that person's back-story just for the campaign.

Any love for this yet? I still havent breached into the EU, but i really like the story I sort of brainstormed earlier. With Inquisition around the corner i hoped there would be some renewed interest in this series.

Tomthetank Perhaps some darkspawn, demons, mages, templars, good old bandits and evil self serving nobles? Not sure if you all are a fan of dragon age but i stumbled upon my ultimate edition last night and the spark started to spread. I love the original. Have it on my ps3. Unfinished unfortunately. Haven't been back to it in a couple of years but I did love the story. Nia Phoenix Personally I love dragons and all beasts mythical. Never played that particular series, but I'm sure it would be fun! It's a pretty dark fantasy so not sure how you'd like it. Also there's no actual dragons in the first game. The second one was received badly all around so I basically ignored it.

So I finally purchased Inquisition, and I think I have the skeleton of a roleplay starting to flesh out. I need to make some more progress to make sure it is infact do able but stay tuned folks the little hamster is running in his wheel
