YAY! A new Pokemon game is coming out! This time it is Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. At first I was really exited.
burning_eyes Until I noticed that it is going to be for the 3DS!!! burning_eyes
The concept of the 3DS is very nice, but many of the new and good games are made 3DS only. As someone that does not own a 3DS but just a regular DS, I am not very happy with this. Do more people share that opinion?

I don't mind the designs so far, which seems like a good sign since I only liked Victini and the starters at the start of BW, and ended up enjoying them so this one looks pretty promising Designs alone. Wish they'd bring the walk feature back, although if the rumors of customization are true then I can see why they wouldn't. 3DS sounds like it could be a good idea, if used properly...although I have a sneaking suspicion smaller Pokemon will look better in it then say,Groudon.

I felt that way at first as well, but then I just decided to give in and buy one on Black Friday. sweatdrop I'm glad I have it though, because of Fire Emblem: Awakening and the new Pokemon game. Any system that they make Pokemon for, I will try to get it JUST for Pokemon, lol. I'm excited for the game, and I hope they make a Ruby/Sapphire remake as well. 3nodding

I'm glad i turned in my old DSi XL and some games at gamestop and picked up my 3ds a year or two ago, cause i just knew they would eventualy have pokemon go to the 3ds. Also there were some 3ds games i really wanted to get. lol

I've been considering getting a 3DS, and a new Pokemon game for it makes that more tempting. And the Animal Crossing game, those two would pretty much be the reason I'd get one.

Do more people share that opinion? it's like the gameboy advance was to the gameboy color: better graphics, it's games have more memory etc. i know it can sound confusing as if the only difference is the 3D capability, but that's not true. the 3DS is in many ways more powerful then the Wii! (that's why Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is released on it [a re-release of Monster Hunter Tri which came out on the Wii])

 If I hadn't already gotten the 3DS XL to play Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance when it came out, I'd be getting one just to play Pokemon X/Y. Hell, if I didn't already have one, I'd be getting one just to play Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity when it comes out next month. Honestly, I've been waiting for a main series Pokemon game to be released for the 3DS because they tend to be the games make it worth having the latest handheld system from Nintendo for me.

Nintendo is annoying me, they make games that could be on the last console but push it to the next so i have to buy a new one just to play them, and now they aren't making their systems as backwards compatible as in the days of yore.
I'd say just get a rom hack whne they crack it, pkmn black and white as well as black and white 2 are already cracked and up, and you havent played pokemon until youv played:
Blaze black, or Volt white.
^(every pokemon from every game in one game, moves and stats changed)
Oh! And if your feeling notoriously masochistic, try nuzlockeing them!
