Background story
Ever since Fainn was a young child, he loved to play in the snow. He was especially glad because it snowed most of the year in the region he lived in. He lived happily with his mother, father, and little sister. It was all just so joyous for him...until his 10th birthday. He played in the snow as usual but was brought in by his father. "Son, when you grow up, I want you to be strong. Don't let others take advantage of you or any one else. I want you to be strong enough to protect the weak. And I know you can...Because you are very special." He looked up into his father's eyes. "What do you mean, Da?" (Da is irish slang for father) His father smiled before a tear was streaming down his cheek.
In that moment, the village sirens rang. Like a lion roaring out of anger. His father pushed into the cellar and told him to hide. All Fainn could hear was screams and maniacal laughing coming from outside the cellar door. The whole time, Fainn cried his eyes out and covered his ears. After the morning came, Fainn walked out and saw the bloodied bodies of his family members and an insignia of an infamous group of bandits that terrorized neighboring villages. Walking outside, his eyes widened at the lifeless bodies around him and the crimson red snow.
From that day, he has journeyed on his own to find a home.
