Hello, i'm Poetabrasileiro. I'm a Brazilian Gaian that joined this guild last year but never posted since then. This is, in truth, my first post. I'm currently Atheist. But do not judge me for that. I'm still looking for my own faith.
I came here because there is something that caught my interest a long time ago. And only recently i found that this interest was with me since i was a very young child. The Interest: Angels
At first i'll tell you what made me currently so fascinated with angels to begin with. In Celtic Culture, i've met the fae, or how the people well know, the faeries. This mithological creature, often pictured as forest kind with wings on his backs, are supernatural creatures that could change the entire destiny of all beings that interact with them. Beggars became kings, Lords became servants. Peasants became princess and always with the mistery tone in their legends. Their Blessings (and curses) radically transform the reality. Also, as Forest Kind they were, the fae didn't obbey any superior forces unless the ones that rule their society itself. I proceed with my life, and then i looked back to Christianism. And saw the Angels taking note of some familiarities with the fae. Winged Supernatural Creatures with the power of give blessings and fulfill a curse. As i heard in Abraham story, the father who would sacrifice his son was stopped in the last time by the hand of an angel who announced that it was a test. In other stories that i can't remember too cleary now, i recall of a city that was going to be destroy by the wrath of god and only an angel stopped this man and his son, the only two people who were pure and faithfull in that city, of returning to that place. So the innocents should not be victims of the wrath of god. The difference that sounded to me is, like the fae, they could radically change anyone's destiny as well. But they now obbey some superior order. The Valkyries in the Nordic Mithology also had similar functions, with some differences. But virtually, the same role. And for the last, but a doumain that i haven't explored yet, is the Islam. Wich pictures another winged creature similar to the angels: the djinns. They obbey a higher power as well, but also led holy men to battle, blessing them and changing the course of the circunstances.
I found that similiarities very intriguing. And i always remembered my fascination with angels when i were a very young child. Every night, i prayed for my guardian angel and when alone, i kind of pretend be playing with him. As an imaginary friend, but that memories are kinda blurry now. Don't know even if it was tru or if i may be mistaking myself.
With that fevor to pursue knowledge, i came here in this guild to debate, seek opinions and even be pointed to some phrases in the holy bible that may add any information about the Angels and their deeds. Thank you very much already, and god bless to all those who read this. (Double Blessings to those who comment)

Just click here to read this person's research on angles in the Bible. Also, it's not strange that stories and legends of angels and other such beings are recorded all over the world. If you believe in Creation, then all things had the same beginning and began in the same place; with Adam as the first man and Eve as the first female. They didn't have a written language at that time and so all stories were orally recited. Over the centuries and through different groups of peoples, these same stories slowly changed but retained a few similarities. At least, that's my theory. It seems plausible.
