Unlike most demons Levi was born in the human world and has never seen the demon world due to his family was exiled from it. Though just before he was born his family ran into a lot of money what led him and family to live comfortable lives and not having worry about money problems.
Growing up he was taught how to hide his demon features so he could blend in with human society, which he did and went to school with humans.
After graduation university with a bachelor's degree he became a little confused what he wanted to do career wise and decided to just take a brake and think of what he wanted for his future.
