Way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I was on my high school swim team. On the bus to entertain ourselves on the way to meets, we'd pass around a notebook with a story in it. Each of us would add one sentence at a time until we came up with something ridiculous or we arrived at the meet. I thought it'd be fun to do it as a forum game.

I'll start off with a sentence, and to play, just add on with one of your own!

Once upon a time there was a yellow cat.

Everyone called this cat "Yellow", because "Blondie" was already taken, and blonde jokes are bad.


We used to do this in the games subforum in a few of my old guilds.

Yellow seemed to be the only one amused by this unimaginative name and liked to scratch anyone who dared call him it, and therefore he was sent out of the house quite a lot.
