It was a month before Thanksgiving,everyone was getting ready for the Christmas music concert that was coming in few weeks. Being one of the top students in the school he had to leave for school an hour earlier just to make sure he didn't have missing work and that he can make up any work that he didn't get a 100 percent on. A few hours later,after first period,Larry headed to the music room,having a open period and decided to practice on his music. He was told by his teacher that he would be able to have a solo and a duet with one of the other students. Larry was very serious when he came to his music and performances,he hoped he would be given someone who was good with their instrument. Going to the grand piano,taking out his music sheets,rearranging a few of the notes before he started playing.

Mira had gotten to school on time, carrying his violin as he usually did. He was one of the top students next to Larry, practically tied in scores. He knew the male's name but had never met him or seen him perform. But he heard about him and their teacher was going to pair them off for a duet. He too had a free period and was going to go to the same room. But as he'd opened the door he heard someone playing and saw the male there at the piano. Blinking, "O-oh...I didn't know the room was taken." Sighing though he'd hoped it was free.

Larry heard the door opening with the rush of air blowing in,stopping on a sour note."....." looking straight ahead and not at Mira,"You interrupted me.,Sighing,"The room is free..I am just on the piano for now." not in the mood to make small talk and took a few seconds before he started playing again. He had no idea that Mira was his partner and that they had to soon start working on their duet together.

Mira flinched a little the guy was so cold and just had that sharp comment obviously not in the mood. "Sorry...I was just looking for someplace to practice too...I have my violin with me." The case in hand. His voice kinda trailed off whilst the guy started playing basically ignoring him. Sighing, he stood there kind of stupefied a moment but soon while Larry was playing, Mira on a whim took his violin out and started playing. He liked this guy's sound, and felt he could mesh with him, he would notice the violin and piano well together.

Larry was playing peacefully until Mira decided to join along. He wasn't happy with that but decided to wait it out before he stopped playing himself.Hearing how well the two instruments play together. Then he thought,"Are you my partner for the concert?" he realized that the boy was playing the melody that went with that song.

Mira strayed off, stopping his playing as the male at the piano had turned to him. Questioning him, he gave a little smile and curt nod. "Well, if you're Larry then yes. I'm Mira," holding the violin stuff in one hand extending his free one to shake. "I'm going to be performing with you for the concert."

Larry glanced down at the boy's hand as if he was aids,"..Hm.." gradually turning back to his piano and began to play again,just expecting the boy to join along. Larry was an a*****e to a lot of people,he believed that if he gotten close to anybody it will affect his school work and him getting into the top college in the country.

Mira sighed, and waited as larry played. Soon speaking again, "W-well I can't wait to work with you, it'll be...interesting." Sighing and turned and left, he'd see him later once the school day ended and their teacher put them together.

Few hours later,lunch rolled around and Larry left campus and went to his mother's popular cafe that was down the street. Having his meal already waiting for him when he entered the place. Sitting in the front courtyard while he studied for upcoming test.

Mira had skittered back to the room where he'd run into Larry earlier. It was empty, now he could practice. His friend Jin was grabbing lunch and bringing it back for him. He tried to pull Mira with him to go get food, but Mira wanted to practice. He'd told Jin what happened when he saw Larry, the guy was pretty cold. But still he was one of those in the highest of the class like Mira, he was still interesting. Jin was in the same cafe as Larry, all cheery getting to the counter and placed an order getting grilled chicken wraps and a couple scones. Mira liked the pastry things, but Jin got him the wrap too since he never paid attention to eat normal food, not sweets. It was like parenting. Soon as he paid he hurried back and Mira had finished his practicing. Jin gave him the bag of scones and the wrap and made him eat the wrap as they headed to class.

Larry looked at the time,realize he had to start heading back to campus. Thanking his mom for lunch as he headed out of the cafe. Casually walking back with his hands in his pocket in deep thought about his future and career.Arriving back on campus right when the bell rung and went straight to class that he Mira in. He knew he was in his class but never paid him no mind like he did everyone else. No one was special to Larry.

Mira had finished the wrap before class. He had the bag of scones in his bag for later. He couldn't eat any during class. He saw Larry come in, sighing he would wave or something but Larry wouldn't acknowledge him. And Mira had to remind himself this wasn't exactly like one of his friends. The guy was all cold to people. He kind of stared at him for a few before class had started, he flushed and went to taking notes, needing to pay attention. It took forever but soon it was the end of the day they had to meet with the teacher who was pairing them. Mira pulled out one of the scones as he left his last class, nibbling it as he was walking to the practice room wondering if Larry was already there waiting with their teacher.

Larry was already in the music room,waiting on the music teacher and his partner.Larry was always on time or came early whenever he had an important meeting;half of the time teachers were the ones late. Turning as he heard the door being opened,seeing Mira coming in nibbling on a scone that looked awfully familiar to him.Recognizing the wrapper with his mom's well known initials around it. Not thinking else of it. The restaurant was his mom's first name and their last name. Their last name wasn't really common so when someone seen Larry's last name they made a joke about him being related to the owner of the restaurant,not knowing that he really was.

Mira wasn't thinking as he popped in seeing Larry, as he mumbled with the scone in his mouth, holding up another scone. "Want a scone?" He said mush mouthed. Flushing and swallowed and finished his scone, speaking clearer now. "S-sorry...Uh I was asking if you wanted a scone? My friend got them for me during the lunch break, there's this cafe I love the scones from so he got me a bag." Not even thinking in regards to the name.
