He has no fear, and no respect for authority, particularly not the corrupted authority that runs the world in which he lives. However, Ren has a huge heart beneath all of this rough exterior, and if your nice to him, he will gladly be friends with anyone. He purposely chose to live out his life his own way because his eyes were opened to evil as a child, especially when the people who were supposed to take care of him turned out to betray him for his secret wealth left behind. He decided to take a stand and fight back, no matter what happens. But even after all of the hatred, violence and murder, Ren would often look at himself and see if he could call himself human, going so far as to rip his skin open to see his own heart. He just knew that he had to convince himself he wasn't insane.

Separated from his parents at birth, Renton is a rebellious orphan, whose lifelong goal is to become accepted as a person, though he's hated for saving many. Ren has a worldwide reputation for causing trouble. Ren is the child of an Angel named Eva and the strongest human Demon Hunter Sparda, and seemingly hunts down other Demons in the twisted shadows of town, while slowly coming to grips with his Half-blood powers. No one knew how he was separated from his parents, since he spent his childhood not remembering anything before the age of seven.
Through his whole life, he spent his childhood believing that Alec Kingsley had murdered them because of Ren, and left him in the care of the cold and cruel world. Ren grew up in various institutions, orphanages, youth correction facilities, and foster homes, but these were mostly operated by Kingsley, and often resulted in torture and violence. Ren has therefore developed a deep hatred of Angels, Demons, the supernatural, and authority in general, yet would accept anyone who is on the good path. Even though he's basically a hunter, he tries to stay incognito.
In spite of this he attracts attention thanks to his violent tendencies and the actions of the demons against him. Ren is not subtle in his war against them, even going so far as punching out a bouncer in front of a group of people in order to enter a nightclub run by a demoness that wants him dead to show her loyalty to Kingsley. Kingsley himself is even less subtle when fighting Ren, perfectly willing to tear apart Earth and every human there to subdue him. These mutual acts of sabotage have allowed the global news network to use the media to portray Ren as public enemy number one.
